Had a good experience here, I first had checked into another hotel for 3 weeks but within a few days of being locked out at night time I moved to the A Hotel, Management and staff were very helpful, Hotel was walking distance to many sights and Coffee Toffee cafe. A clean room with great bathroom. Will be back to this hotel. Buffet breakfast included was awesome too

Stayed here just for 1 night during business trip and it was not a good experience. The location was very far far away from airport. When I checked in, the reception told me that they didn't accept payment both by debit and credit card. They just accept payment by cash so I need to go out and look for nearest ATM center before I could get into my room.
The hotel itself is typical an old hotel. The furnitures were also look old-fashioned. I didn't like the ambiance of this hotel. Kinda spooky, in my opinion. The good thing is that the hotel provided fast wifi connection which was very useful since I got no cellphone signal in my room.

A (Arum) hotel used to be much better than it is now. The value is ok but isn't great. The building is tired and desperately needs a facelift and many of the rooms smell musty. The breakfast is not great but it's acceptable.
Central location, can easily walk to other restaurants and shops. The hotel room service is quite good and does include alcoholic beverages.
Overall disappointing as it used to be much better than this. Please do something to restore this property properly.

it used to be nice 'n comfort hotel about five years ago, but now it's terible in everythings....rooms, breakfast, cleanliness... all of it..., almost like cheap hotel with big building, I'm not gonna trip to this hotel in again...sorry to say but that's the fact...

At one time this was the top Hotel in Banjarmarsin- in price and quality. Sadly, although the structure and location are still good, it has been allowed to deteriorate in quality. It has now been re-names as the 'A" hotel, though taxi recognize both Arum and Kalimantan Hotel.
The Good: Location is central in the city-- markets, Post office, and City Hall all walkable.
The Staff are pleasant and helpful- more than willing to work with what the have.
The Price- is reasonable
The Bad:
Property is tired -Rooms need work, General atmosphere of '2nd class hotel
With some investment and refurbishment this property could again be a good deal.
