I stayed in this hotel for the weekend , I booked this hotel as previous reviews said it has great location , well not that great , very noisy area , difficult to sleep at night from street noise even though my room was in 5th floor , rooms are tiny hardly able to move around and quite basic . Good things are : very helpful friendly staff , ok breakfast ,

Stayed for a two day business visit at the Mercury. Room was a two level (sleeping part in the Mansard roof) design. Clean, pretty simple.
Breakfast ok, good coffee, and all the basics. Ok lower business class Hotel.

We stayed in the Hotel Mercure Opera Lafayette for a week. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, the breakfast good. I really missed not having any face cloth in the bathroom and I was told they no longer supply this - a real pity for those of us who like to wash properly ! We were upgraded to a Privilege Room and found that it was really quite small for that kind of room with only one armchair and no drawers or shelf in the room to put our clothe.

This hotel is well located but needs a total refurbishment
It is not well maintained
The rooms are tired and the cushions and bed covers need to be cleaned
The only good aspect is the staff who are polite
With a room rate of â¬330 per night excluding breakfast they have to be joking

Smallest hotel room ever. No room to open my suitcase. Bed took up almost all the space. Poor breakfast. Doesn't cater for lactose intolerant people. Was herded out of the usual breakfast seating area 25mins before it ended and had to eat in the lobby as they use the breakfast area as a meeting room from 11... Ignorant receptionist didn't deal with it well at all. I always put the do not disturb sign on my door but somebody came into my room when I went to work and tidied up! Different receptionist didn't seem to care. Poor wifi.
