This is a beautiful boutique hotel situated in Tibidabo at the end of one of the Metro lines. Although looking tired in places (chipped paint, etc), the room was spacious and very comfortable with a large bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower. The hotel has just 15 rooms which is both a strength and a weakness. On the down side, when ringing for room service, it could take several minutes for the âphone to be answered. At breakfast, there was only ever one member of staff on duty. Coping with one or two tables was no problem but, when other guests arrived, the level of service decreased and it took a long time to be served. Surely it should be possible for a hotel of this quality to provide additional members of staff when required. Although this is, in so many ways, a wonderful hotel, weâll probably look to stay elsewhere next time weâre in Barcelona.

The ABaC Hotel is a wonderfully intimate and luxurious boutique hotel. We booked the penthouse and absolutely love the coziness and decor of the room. The beautiful deck isn't the most useful during winter but the private jacuzzi is lovely and a wonderful way to wind down after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are advertised as soundproof and that's mostly true. You don't hear the traffic or noise from the streets but occasionally sounds from the elevator and downstairs can be heard (though to note, I'm supersensitive to sound).
The service at ABaC is mostly to notch. Irene, who checked us in and helped us ought train tickets and find local sights to see was particularly helpful. However, another front desk person told us it was impossible to get train tickets without going to the station first and seemed completely uninterested in helping us (thank you Irene for making things easy!)
The restaurant, which was just awarded its third Michelin star, is a MUST if you're here. It is an experience from beginning to end and worth every penny.
While its not within walking distance of most tourist attractions, ABaC is right across the street from the very convenient and easy to use subway which is only a 10 minute ride to the main square.
If you're looking for a quiet hotel a bit off the beaten path, this is it!

ABac was the last stop on our multi city tour of Spain. We wanted to relax and get ready for an early flight back to the states.
When we arrived to the Hotel it is more of a coumpound in the city. It is very much a boutique hotel behind a large gate. We were buzzed in and in awe as we walked through the courtyard. As you walk through you can tell that time and attention is paid the the exterior of the hotel with well manicured plants and shrubbery. We entered the lobby and were checked in and shown to our room, we booked the Deluxe Suite. The room (and hotel) is very modern in design, the room was pristine with a chase lounge and oversized bed that was incredibly comfortable. Mood lighting illumates tge room as you enter and the minibar is full of delicious snacks. Although this hotel is out of the city center it is close to the theme park and other things to do. We ventured in the city and found great food and beverages and were ready to retire for the evening. The room has an amazing shower with privacy glass so you can see in the room as you shower but if anyone is in the room they canât see you. With a great waterfall shower and great smelling shower gels. Once we cozied into the comfortable bed we turned on the large Samsung 4K curved tv (I remember this because I wanted one) we were pleasantly surprised to find that Netflix was available. We watched a great movie and relaxed, also the rooms are soundproof which is great because you can turn up the volume and not worry. We woke up enjoyed coffee from the nespresso, packed and were ready to go. We didnât have much contact with the staff, but what when we did they were all polite and very courteous. I would definitely return to the 5+ star hotel, next time longer!

ABaC hotel is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Barcelona. The perfect distance from the thick of things, just a short metro ride to whatever you want, located in a quiet neighborhood setting. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping. very comfortable beds, excellent shower with rainfall shower head. Michelin restaurant located on premises. Right next door to a nice outside space. A short ride to the airport. i cant think of a single negative. It's all good.

Located in the north part of Barcelona, this isn't a luxury hotel with very attentive staff. Rooms clean and is located in a quieter part of Barcelona. The tour bus stops right outside the hotel, metro is easy too. Spa is amazing. Las ramblas is about 45 minutes walk. Ideal hotel and would recommend highly.
