I have been to Abad Harmonia several times with my best friends.
We all appreciate staff kindness and care.
They always do their best to meet your requests or solve any likely problems you may have.
This year we were there for New Year's Eve. Celebrations included a Show with Indian Dances, and Songs which made event enjoyable and memorable.
Special thanks to Manjesh, Head of Reception Service. He is naturally very kind and helpful

An average experience

We had a two night stay in this hotel and the experience was just average, We stayed in a Superior room but as soon as we entered, What we saw was ants and small insects in the kettle tray and around it on the dressing table, This was replaced by another one but again in about an hour, insects were back. What i noticed was, the insects and ants were there in other rooms too, even in staircases.
I decided not to change the room then,

I also noticed that the glass tops on the tables in the room were broken from the sides, i mean this can get you a wound certainly while putting your phone/any other item on it. the walls of the rooms are plain white. Not sure about others but this gives very boring impression of the place.
When people travel, the hotel stay/room is the most important one to play a part in the overall experience,

Hence the experience in this hotel for me was a let down.

There is a beach 5 minutes away, but it's completely non happening. you will end up getting bored and move to light house beach or Hawa beach.
There are some beach resorts which are available at much less prices then this one and they are situated right on to the beach, I would prefer to go for them.

Very poor accomodation .bad smell.fungus in bathrooms.food everage qwality.beverages double then in other hotels.

Every family got oenother type of room.we were promised
Upgraded rooms.did not happen.we got lausy dirty rooms some without hot water.food was not tasty.it ruined our stay inkovalam.
We will never come back or recomend this hotel to anyone.

Another year, another visit...

Each year we spend the first week of our India holiday at Harmonia. This will be, I think, our ninth year.
The hotel is clean, welcoming and reasonably well-kept and we saw some needed improvements this year although more are necessary.
The staff, especially manager Santhosh and headwaiter George, go out of their way to make guests welcome.
The gardens are lush, growing better every year, the pool is large and inviting, the food is good, generous and not expensive.
The location is quiet and it’s a short walk to a long, usually fairly quiet beach ( busy at sunset). For more tourist infrastructure go to Kovalam, or for everything else go to Trivandrum.
As a getaway it’s perfect but keeping in touch is not so good. WiFi, although free, is slow to the point of being unusable. This year I found the Vodafone signal unobtainable until I went to the beach, although other networks may be better.

I looked at my last year’s review before posting this; I’ve not much different to say, so look at Feb 2017 for much more detail.

All in all, we keep coming back, so take that as the best recommendation of all!

Always greeted with warm friendly smiles from great team of lovely people who made every day of our stay a relaxing pleasure. Good food, good facilities, good spacious room (worth getting a superior room) make it easy to give a good rating despite location being a little remote and beach very poor
