I have to agree with the majority of the reviews. I canât fault this hotel for much. Merida is a gorgeous city to visit for the amazingly well preserved Roman ruins. But, service wise it redefines the concept of province: most restaurants and hotels are very simple.People stare at you in the streets, shops are basic, there arenât many options for the modern traveller in general.
Having said that, the city itself made an enormous effort in keeping its Roman infrastructure intact and very enjoyable to visit.
The hotel is not a boutique or luxurious experience, I think they got the positioning wrong. The rooms are spacious but very basic, service is courteous and location wise it is great to visit the town.

Good location, near city center and theater. Spacious rooms, friendly staff. Small, quite hotel.
On the downside, no parking at the hotel, nearest one was around 7 min walk, and 16,5 euros a day. Also, not many amenities in the room. Not good value for money: overpriced.

A boutique hotel , in the centre of Medina. Staff didn't offer a map of Medina which was small .
Hotel no parking what so ever ..had to park around 500 meters away which cost 16 euros a day (was a lockable carpark )
The hotel room was big and airy with a whirlpool bath shower and a really odd system for air-conditioning and music whilst in the bathroom if you'd like at first it was cool. The air conditioning was another issue very wheezey.
Large bed which was comfy and TV with only Spanish channels. There where no coffee making facilities in the room which seemed odd has its a boutique hotel . We didn't try the restaurant nor the breakfast.

PRO - location: right in the historical center, 5-10 minutes maximum walking distance to main attractions and good restaurants. Staff is nice and helpful.
AGAINST - parking. It is a long way to either have you car parked in the street or a public parking space that will charge you 16.50⬠for a 12h-24h parking.

Good location. Aircon marginally better than useless, we boiled at night. Bathroom floor positively dangerous if wet and the same for the shower. Dont even think of mentioning the breakfast, once again DIRE.
A four star hotel - in your dreams. We have stayed in one star hotels in India which were comparable.
