This was booked by our agent and initial impressions were not good. The facade was old & tired and reception staff, while courteous enough were a little disorganised and did not exude welcome. The room was a pleasant surprise as it was clean neat & in good condition. As it was late we ate in their restaurant. My advice: DONâT. The menu was incomplete as was the wine list. A âNo we donât have that sir.â was too often the response. The service was haphazard and full of excuses, the decor old & tired and the food average at best. One night was enough.

In what century do you not get air conditioning even if its an old window rattler. It never occurred to me to even check. I would not have believed it was even possible. And then...the 100 year old floor fan was broken and falling over. Premium price for a very average room minus air con. Free breaky...ha...toast and cornflakes. Not worth it. Go elsewhere

We arrived and the lady in the reception was very rude. I have never encountered someone with such disregard to the customer. If we would not have been so tired after the flight, I would have tried to find someplace else.
The beds are falling apart, they give you a one small towel, they have a pool but it is out of order, the whole place is not well taken care of and seems to be falling apart. It is in general a very shabby hotel, with crabby people working in it, and they do not care about their guest.
The attached restaurant has very poor quality food.
I do not recommend it at all.

Got the executive suite. Good sized suite with two doubles and two singles. One of the doubles has a few springs missing in the mattress, making it fairly lumpy.
The location is alright, although it was incredibly noisy all night with cars constantly stopping and starting right out the front.
The bathroom and kitchen are very nice and up to date but I can't say the same about the furniture. The table, chairs and couches are extremely dated and could use replacing.
The fridge is small for the size of the hole. Tv is in a weird spot. Outside area isn't pretty.
The hallway has a funky smell. Just hold your breath until you reach your hotel room.

Paid for an executive suite and breakfast, was expecting standard hotel fair and service but sorely disappointed. This place is essentially a run down motel. The room was reasonable although dated and not particularly clean. The bathroom has been updated but the shower went cold in the morning???
Do not bother with breakfast at the "restaurant". Ironically we joked about a breakfast with no bacon, turned out it was worse than we thought. No cooked food of any sort, but a couple of toasters and some plastic storage containers with some canned fruit and some unappealing looking cereal.
The restaurant is extremely dated and was dark, dingy and unwelcoming.
Outside it looks as if they have started some construction but have given up. There was trash blowing around and broken bottles in the unswept car park.
The whole place is gross and I'm surprised they have been able to stay in the VR hotel chain.
Turns out there is a backpackers down the road that is cheaper and looks a lot nicer.
