We chose this hotel as it had parking and was located within the walls of historic Evora.
It was a great choice-extremely helpful-made dinner reservations for us in perfect restaurants,Excellent breakfast , extremely comfortable and welcoming.
Highly recommend a stay here!

This was an absolutely delightful stay for our 24 hours in Evora. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the public areas were cozy and inviting, and the room was very comfortable for 2. The breakfast in the morning included an excellent selection of both cold and hot items as well as several locally sourced honeys, olive oils, etc. Very walkable from the bus station and to all major sites within the historic city walls. Would highly recommend and will stay here again if travels take us back to Evora!

The vast majority of the TripAdvisor reviews for the Albergaria do Calvario are glowing. I will agree that the personnel and the service they demonstrate are top notch. Also the bed we had was the most comfortable we have had during our month in Portugal. The rest of what is here I would say is pretty average.
Supposedly we had been upgraded, but the room was nothing special in regards to decor. The bathroom was a bit tight and dated with the fan sounding like it was on its last legs. We had dinner at one of their recommended restaurants. They did the booking. It was one of those affairs where the house decides what you eat, which in our case was the black pork, which seems to be what most people end up getting based on reviews. It was nothing special and in the end felt that we had been played as the unwitting tourists who paid â¬30 per person for their â¬15 dinners.

A great place, we really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and attentive, breakfast a solid affair with lots on offer and cooked option too. We had a family suite which was huge, though an add-on bed provided (for me) was essentially useless and we all ended up cramming into the (fortunately massive) bed. Upon feedback the management were kind enough not to charge for it. Bathroom was a bit old fashioned but everything worked just fine. Nothing much to say about the housekeeping, which means they did their job well. WiFi was quite quick - around 10-12mbps up/down though our room was right next to the lobby where the router is located. The carpark is small and narrow - in winter not an issue as few other cars, but at busier times itâd probably be best to let the staff handle things. Not a place to bring the Lambo. Location-wise, at the edge of the old town but still very conveniently located with lots of interesting old streets to ramble around, restaurants and minimarts, etc. Definitely would stay here again if ever in town again. Liked it a lot, great value-for-money.

This hotel is exceptional in every way. The facilities are comfortable and tastefully designed. It's like staying at someone's home. The breakfast is anything your heart desires. The staff is very welcoming and goes beyond expectations to insure a terrific stay and visit to Ãvora. Great location to visit all the sites. Short walk to the Cathedral and Roman temple ruins. They have secure valet parking.
