The Virtual tours by their website were just an idea and the real ground situation were different. Stayed in a suit which had decent sea front view, staff were courteous and helpful from the front desk to sweepers, drivers behaved nicely to us. The Indian preparation of food were just ok. Ozran beach looks nice from few rooms of this three star property but the sea water down the cliff is dirtier than Baga beach, we assumed nearby shacks and hotels are dumping used water which were not so nice experience. Airport pickup and drop at early hours in the morning had beed provided.
Amazing Stay..

We stayed with Alcove from 20th till 23rd of January 2018 in cottage 109. It was memorable relaxing stay with alcove. staff was warm and helpful especially Jo and Nikhil on reception were resourceful and very informative. keyboard played by Josephine was soothing making beautiful sunset even more charming,
The cottage was spacious and well maintained, The location of hotel is spectacular you don't have to go anywhere and can just relax on the restaurant deck overseeing vista of Arabian sea. Ozran beach is nice small beach with no crowds giving you feeling of private beach. With other North Goa beaches nearby gives option if you want to visit as well good eating options like Thalasa, Anteras, Fusion on walking distance
If you stay here, it will only be for the view.

So, my husband and I decided to drive off to Goa for a long weekend and it wasn't planned. We wanted to stay in the north and happened to land up at Alcove Resorts. We didn't have a previous booking but we managed to get a place. They have small wooden chalets which face the ocean. The rooms have the bare minimum, the bathrooms are tiny. They have the tiniest shower cubicles, and a small toilet. Two people will not fit in the bathroom together. So if you're fussy about space or you're claustrophobic, book a super deluxe room, deluxe room or the cottage. Also, because the rooms are wooden, the air conditioning isn't very effect if the external temperatures are above 36 degrees. Make sure you get a room that suits you.
What I enjoyed the most is the location. It's a minute to Thalassa on foot, its right next to 9 bar where you can enjoy a party in the evenings & other places in the north are a short bike ride away. Outside the hotel you will be able to hire bikes, buy some clothes if you like. The hotel itself is on small vagator beach, which is wonderful. You can sit outside your cottage in the evenings and watch the sun go down. It was like a sundowner everyday.
Food at the alcove resort is ok. Nothing great. What I remember is cheese chilly toast. Now that, was awesome. Combine with local King's beer and enjoy!
It tends to attract a younger crowd, this place and so it can get loud. This is not a place to be with family. Also, if you're hoping for a romantic getaway, not your spot. If you're looking just for fun, this is it.

This was our third visit to Alcove resorts. And I must say they have been fabulous as always.. We stayed in Standard rooms which were clean & cosy as they were renovated since our last visit. This resort is on the hill facing Small Vagator beach giving the best view from their open-air restaurant. The buffet breakfast was yummilicious!! Overall a fantastic stay..
Overall good... Go for it

I think it is more of a positive experience that I had with Alcove.
I was in touch with them before booking as I wanted to make sure that I get a sea facing room and nothing else.
They were quick in responding and answering and confirming my mails. I eventually booked online, which they confirmed. The online booking experience was good too. Straight forward, via a credit card. Was offered a complementary breakfast, but got to know later that it is the case with many others, if not all.
The hotel is easy to find using Google maps. Pinpoint location available. The route I took was Pune - Kolhapur - Amboli ghat - Vagator.
- Positives:
1. The location. Just wow!
2. Lovely staff.
3. Free WiFi.
4. Big rooms. View from Rooms. Not all rooms are sea facing though.
5. Accessibility to the little Vagator beach. Almost a private beach. Safe too.
6. Proximity to other famous restaurants and pubs.
7. Just the view from restaurant, gets you eating!!
8. Kids friendly.
- Negatives:
1. Bar 9 (from next door) music audible through out night.
2. Breakfast is far from fulfilling. They are trying to cater to all tastes, but it just isn't upto the mark.
3. The challets are not at a single level, giving the required privacy. But that means there are stairs to climb. If you get the one at the bottom of the hill, good exercise awaits you. Please check this before traveling with aged, or with knee problems.
4. The challets needs renovation. The floor level is gone.
5. Some millipedes visited the room.
6. The bathroom may be small for some.
Tip: this place is about a 45 minutes drive from Panaji. Stay here for views, beaches, less crowded surroundings, serenity. Nearest good town is may be Calangute, which is about 20 minutes away.
Calangute, Baga, other beaches are just around. The two forts are very near too.
Tip: While going before Amboli ghat Minerva and Ruby are the only two good options for eating. Ruby is a pure vegetarian.
Tip: While driving in both the directions don't take the 'unknown road' that Maps ask you. Bad, small roads await you. Very lonely too. Continue towards on the main Ghat.
Overall- an enjoyable 4 night stay. Recommended!
