Very interestingly designed place. But also very scary for smokers ;) the warnings for smokers with fines are everywhere. relax a bit! :) take a chill pill. Its convenient if you neeed to stay around Shuman for meetings.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to EU institutions. To get to city centre you need to take metro, but it is only few stops to get there. Hotel is nice, with simple furnishing. I like the decor but I missed some little things that are normal to find in other hotels such as hair conditioner, shoe shine, etc. Breakfast was very simple for this kind of the hotel. I like other hotels in this location more.

Stayed here for two nights. I love aloft brand for its budget set up and feel like at home. The room was good size and staff was very helpful. Best was the location. This area had a strike during those days and local transportation was not available. Since its closer to the metro station we were not affected at all. The breakfast was simple but good. It's not walking distance from the old city but well connected through the metro. 3 euros and you can go anywhere in the city. It has many eating places at a walking distance and supermarket next door. Very convenient no matter what kind of trip you are on

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights during the new year period. Apparently the service of the hotel was suspended for few days as we didn't get a decent breakfast ( there was no a hot food station and very limited amount of food in general) for first three days of the stay. Last two days the breakfasts were much better but still far away from what we usually get in Aloft hotels... that was not acceptable for the hotel for more than £100 a night! Tye fact that they cleaned our room only after we asked for it on the 4 th day was not appropriate. Also, forgot to bring a bottle of water to the room which we were in title to. I would say that we like the Aloft chain and choose them as we know the standard is pretty high but not here, in Brussels. Next time we will book a different one.

I've stayed here twice in the past year on business as it's perfect for meetings in various European institutions, it being located in the Schumann area. The place is very funky, contemporary and refreshingly characterful, so it makes for a great antidote to the usual stuffy, bland and often dated 3-star hotels in the area. The (young) staff are helpful and courteous, the rooms are large and decorated in a very cool, modern style with an excellent wet room and good wifi. I really liked the option to have a drink on the house if room service is declined for a night - what a great idea to cut down on washing towels. Overall, a great option for the business traveller, but perhaps less so for the tourist given its location in the EU area, a good 30 minutes from the Grand Place etc. Having said that, the Schumann metro is beside the hotel, so it's pretty accessible and a pleasant enough walk to the historical city centre.
