First - the good bits - check in was fine. Room was very well designed and equipped, and bed comfortable.
However, public/dining/ bar area artificial lighting is just dreadful!
Food/ drink OK, but service at best uneven and sadly, actually unpleasant as I was on the point of checking out. Selection and training perhaps inadequate.

Such a dreary place. The reception was untidy and badly serviced. The room smelt a bit funny. The bed was terribly uncomfortable I hardly slept for 2 nights. Road was noisy too. Breakfast was nice but the room was cold. The restaurant was closed without warning so we couldn't eat apart from soup and sandwiches. I had read the reviews on here but was bitterly disappointed!!

We attended the Hogmanay Ball to bring in the New Year 2018. The whole evening was amazing from the décor in the hall, the welcome reception, the six course meal served piping hot to 270 people simultaneously, the live band playing and organising group Scottish country dancing , the after midnight disco and the 'stovies' served after the 'Bells'. We stayed overnight with a delicious breakfast served till late and a 12 0'clock check out. Staff very organised and attentive.

Attended the Hogmanay Gala Ball this year with an overnight stay. I have to say that it was a great whole experience. On arrival we were informed that there was a problem with the heating but our bedroom had a portable heater which heated our room perfectly. The whole evening was a joy with great food and friendly service. We had a mix of a Celidh Band and DJ. I will definitely be back again. The breakfast next day was served again by very friendly staff and a good selection of produce both hot and cold. Well done Alona you deserve all the credit bestowed upon you.

came here Saturday for the Christmas party night we come every year and keep on coming it is great the food is amazing the band are brilliant just overall a great night nobody complained.
a few people stayed over as well we certainly will be booking this again for next year,.
