this is my first stay, after more than 10 years last time I stayed here, one thing I like most about Ambhara Hotel, is its location, located in South Jakarta, it is vey close to Pasar Raya and and surrounded by restaurant, hawker center and food court
the room seems need to be upgraded, the tive should be replaced by flat tivi, the internet connection works despite bit slow. the breakfast is great with lot of option

Overall is good .. Especially the breakfast, we had a lot of option for food, room so comfortable and silent, But housekeeping staff knock our door three times since in the morning, it was really annoying

This is a beautiful hotel, situated in the Southern Part of the City, just out of the mayhem of the central city traffic. It's also a great location if you happen to be attending the forthcoming Asia Games.
The staff are exceptional. Happy, smiling and always at the ready to assist.
Rooms are super comfy, and I was delighted they had an excellent selection of Cable TV channels. I had very peaceful sleeps here during my 2 night stay.
The pastry basket I had for breakfast (room service - but you can eat in the gorgeous restaurant) was exceptional - best pastries I've had in Indonesia. Bonus: You can buy them, plus some delectable cakes in the little patisserie close to the check-in counter. Be sure to indulge in some of their Cheese Sticks. I ate far too many. Delicious!
There was also an amazing band playing in the bar while I was there - they played some fantastic tunes. They had a brass section, and both male and female singers. One of the most entertaining bands I've heard in Indonesia. I'm not sure which nights they play, so it would be best to check.
Overall, a wonderful hotel, with exceptional staff. A great experience all round. I'll most certainly return.

I stayed there for 7 nights in mid October 2017.
Location: Strategic. Near from everywhere. Especially when you have meeting in South area of Jakarta. It will ease you on the traffic.
Customer Service: the front liner need to have more smile in their face, especially the ones in front desk.
Room: clean, hommy, but a bit dark.
Facilities: they have ATMs in the front yard. Other than that standard.
Breakfast: well lighted restaurant with well decorated high ceiling. The unexpected was the menu, all were delicious and lot of choices.

I booked deluxe room for 8 nights and junior suite for 1 night because hotel said they did not have deluxe room for the date. In monday, they ask me to pack my thing before I left the hotel so they can put my things in junior suite room. I packed all my things before I left the hotel (8 am). Around 9.30am the hotel called me and inform me that I can stay in my deluxe room since there isn't any junior suite left for me. Please be careful id you booked the hotel. I booked the room directly from hotel website, got the reservation code but they cancelled it after they asked me to packed my things from my previous room.
The parking area is very small. They have a basement parking area, you must be a very good driver since you must park your car without any assistance from hotel security.
I choose the hotel because it located only 1 km from my office. And because I think it's a 4 star hotel. Well, they do have an outdoor pool, a gym facility, sauna but I think the pool is only suitable for kids.
Before I checked out, I bring my kids to the pool. The staff said that she can only give us 1 towel. I told her that this is not my first visit the pool and we can get 2 towels. After arguing, she finaly gave us 2 towels. And guess what happened next. The pool is closed. The staff did not inform us about it. So we bring the towels back to the staff and said the pools is closed. I suggest her to give that information to the guest and not arguing about towel. I asked her name, and she did not want to answer my question. And she said that she is not employee of the hotel. aaaarrgghh.
The breakfast is excellent. The door man and the bell boy is really helpful. I appreciate it.
So I think it will be my last time and will never come to thia hotel again.
