Disappointing self catering facilities.

We were very disappointed to find that all we had in our "self catering" apartment was a kettle and 2 dodgy gas rings. We are quite resourceful but ended up eating out a lot more than we intended. The small supermarket next to the apartments had very limited choice and no fresh fruit and vegetables. For a non meat eater this was not good. The apartments were a good 20 minutes walk into San Antonio but this was quite enjoyable and there was a bus stop close by with an hourly service. The apartment block was clean and tidy and the reception staff helpful and friendly.
Wonderful little gem!

Stayed at el coto from the 31st august to 7th September. I was a bit sceptical at first as it was my first time self catering in Ibiza and because it's so small as I'm used to big hotels and going all inclusive.
But I was so wrong about this place!! It's an absolute gem :)
Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely man on reception and we were shown to our room.
We had room 105, ground floor apartment with the balcony looking directly onto the pool.
We got to the hotel at about 11:50pm so we couldn't get any food or drinks in. Unfortunately there wasn't any bottled water available, so we just went to bed.
There is a shop next to the hotel which is really convenient, I went there the following morning to get some bits for breakfast and get some water and pop. The staff in the shop are very nice always say hello and thank you. It's open from 10am - 9pm apart from Sunday where they have a siesta mid day.
Linked to the hotel is bar/ restaurant which serves really nice food at decent prices especially if you don't wish to pay the prices for food on the sunset strip!
Our room was very spacious, comes with a fully equipped kitchen and fridge. Beds were comfy, the room was very clean. The bathroom okay only downside was the shower head as it tilted to the side and we'd always end up with a puddle by the side of the bath.
The balcony is a decent size, on two occasions we had quite a big ant problem however reception sorted it very quickly.
We had a problem with our air con but that was sorted the same day.
The pool is bigger than it looks on the pictures but it's not massive but to be honest not that many people went in the pool, there were plenty of sun loungers to choose from.
The hotel is very quiet and was a nice change to the noises hotels that I've stayed in, there was a group of guys and girls about 7 or 8 of them but they weren't loud they kept to themselves.
To walk to the sunset strip takes you about 10 minutes but it is a nice walk. Also just 2 mins from the hotel is a lovely little aquarium.
To get a taxi from San Antonio bus station to el coto is about 6 Euro.
I recommend this hotel so much as it's just a lovely atmosphere we had such an incredible stay, our 4th year in Ibiza and it was by far the best holiday in Ibiza.
Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our holiday great!

Great place , you can have some nice walks especially down to san an , some nice bars along the way like golden bhudda. Apartments have all you need TVs need updating if you get a rain day and beds could be more comfortable.
The bar/restaurant is cheap and staff are great, everything you need is there and we loved our stay highly recommended
Comfortable hotel away from the action

We had a very enjoyable three night stay at El Coto. Although the complex is a bit dated, it has been well maintained and was clean. The room - although again not modern - was well equipped and large. The rooms only get made up once a week (so not at all during our stay) but as long as you know that, then its fine. That inconvenience is offset by the convenience of a kitchenette in the room. There was always plenty of space around the pool - which catches plenty of the sun. The hotel complex is also connected to a bar/restaurant with its own outside seating, and a supermarket. Everything you could need was there. We found staff friendly and helpful throughout (we dealt with three staff members) including borrowing a hair dryer and ordering a taxi etc. We were able to access our room two hours before check-in. The area is quiet (no noise at night including from other guests), but is a nice 15/20 minute walk along the coastal path to San An. All in all we really enjoyed our first visit to Ibiza, and the hotel was a big part of that.
Good accommodation, located too far.

El Coto staff were all amazing, helped us out loads with suggestions and travel. The pool is nice and clean and the rooms were well kept and clean.
The downside is that its quite far away from the centre - nice in some respects, but if you have lazy friends or are planning to come back late at night be ready to fork out for a lot of taxis!
Short walk to very nice beaches.
Aircon and a mini kitchen in the room.
