Studied trip advisor for ratings for a last break before Santa and was really pleased that I did! We arrived after 11.15pm - bus journey was around 1hr 45 min tho we did wait almost an hour to leave Palma airport, so this added to this. Pretty hungry when we arrived but no food outlets/shops open. Managed to find a local hostelry shutting up who sold us some juice and crisps.
Upon reading the literature in the morning we discovered that we could have purchased a welcome pack for around â¬6 from the front desk. This had milk, tea, coffee and sugar. So was a little disappointed when we asked about food availability we werenât offered this as I would have sold my husband for a cuppa after a long bus journey. No matter.
We booked a one bed apt. for the comfort of beds. However we found the sofa beds in the living area were ample sufficient and mattresses felt like almost identical to those in the bedroom. A possible cost saving for future reference.
Water completely undrinkable and it was a strange sensation showering with your mouth closed! The rooms were clean and well maintained. As were the 3 pools and gardens. Limited utensils in the kitchenette although enough cutlery/dishes/pots. The fridge was a godsend and the aircon came in very handy for a quick cool down.
Maid service visited 2 times and replenished towels. Little housekeeping pack with washing liquid, sponge and towel was a fab addition, likewise the starter soap, shampoo in the bathroom.
Plenty of local eateries/bars. Didnât travel with kids however glanced over the facilities and would be very happy with whatâs on offer. Didnât eat on site - early riser and breakfast wasnât served until 8 am. So preferred to make a light brekkie, out onto my balcony in the cool dawn, laze by the pool and out for dinner. Brilliant steakhouse across the way. Many shops and a weekly night market gave us places to stroll around. Small beaches at either end of the town and in busy season would say you would need to go early.
Overall really enjoyed my stay! Staff were pleasant, approachable and dealt with any enquiries quickly and efficiently. We had some unwelcome guests - ants in the bedroom on the 3rd or 4th day - not a plague by any stretch of imagination. We were given a spray, advised to spray entrances/exits and the beds were refreshed. Sorted in around 10 minutes and ants no more!
Wouldnât hesitate to recommend this for families or couples. Lots to see and do with the clubs/trips.
Although it was right at the end of the season donât feel we missed out on anything.
Arrived back in the uk relaxed and refreshed. Just what you expect from a holiday!

I booked es bolero but was put into club Martha studio. I was told it was an upgrade to 4* but it does not feel like it. Studio on ground floor is not ideal for female solo traveller,at least not for me. The studio is clean enough, kitchen equipment faultlessly clean. Shower water takes an age to drain away so you are stood in a pool of water. The outdoor furniture needs a good clean and the sun lounger provided is filthy so unable to use. The communal areas of club Martha are all well looked after. I am enjoying my stay but would not return and sadly would not recommend to friends.
More for families, but a lovely break

Stayed for a week, it was German school holidays! Great for families but not much fun in the pools for adults as the kids are dive bombing etc, including the indoor pool. Like seeing kids have fun but they could make one pool adult only maybe. Didn't have high expectations, but the photos don't do it justice, it's all club Martha's and it's a lovely resort. The apartment seemed updated. Not much cooking facilities, no microwave(some do have), got kettle&toaster and 2rings, but when we plugged the kettle in the electric went off, but used our travel kettle which was ok. We don't go on hols to cook anyway! The towels were changed 3 times, the sheets not at all, but we could have asked the maids. Entertainment was the animation team miming to shows, never saw a live act but there was one due the day we left. Restaurants in the area are quite dear and not brilliant, but our favourites were Tony's bar and Beatriz. Eroski supermarket has most things stocked. The little train is â¬2.50pp one way hourly goes to Cala d'or. Tip : walk down to the rocamarina hotel at peak times as its full by the time it comes to Cala Eros centre. The harbour is worth the short walk and you can pick up the solar electric train there, same price, stops at calador and goes to Cala esmerelda. Overall, we really enjoyed it, would go back as a family but not on our own as a couple.
Cleanliness and Mosquitos, the only issue

These apartments are excellent value for money. Located within Club Martha's and its good facilities. Just a two minute walk to a big selection of shops and restaurants. Evening entertainment surprisingly good, given it's free. Condensed tributes to 'The Lion King', 'We Will Rock You', 'Sister Act' and more had us singing and laughing most evenings. The shows start at 10.15pm every night, and do echo around the complex, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep before 11.30pm!
Our apartment on the second floor was a good size, but was quite dirty. We only really discovered how dirty once we had all unpacked, so didn't raise it as an issue as we didn't want to move. All the cleaner appeared to do was change towels and bed linen every other day. No dusting or mopping of floors as far as we could tell. My partner removed a thick layer of dust which had formed on top of the small flat screen TV.
Only English TV channels were news channels, but we weren't there to watch TV.
A couple of our family got badly bitten by mosquitos during the evenings and nights. I'd definitely recommend a strong repellent for the skin, and a plug-in repellent too. We'll bring bringing both if we return (which we would).
