We arrived at 10.30 am in Salou to look for our Apartment, (and look we had to) no name on the Apartment, no Reception in the block, had to ask in pub where the Murillo Apartments were. We made a phonecall to see where we would get keys. We met a lady from one of the Apartments that showed us where to go, she was after arriving at her Apartment and was out buying cleaning products to clean the Apartment before it was fit to stay in. We got the keys and got to our Apartment and as soon as we opened the door "the smell" was so disgusting, floors filthy, dirty stained toilet, bath filthy, hook for hanging the shower hose was broken , so to shower ourselves we had to hold the shower hose in our hand . Grout on tiles in Bathroom black with dirt. Curtain falling off the rails, insects walking on the sink in kitchen, microwave filthy dirty, mould and mildew on the walls of bedroom, wallpaper hanging off, tiles broken in bedroom floor and under wardrobes, a hole in the bedroom door, no brush to sweep the floor, no dustbin, no cleaners called all week while we were there. Matress filthy with mildew, â¬7 a day if you needed Wifi. When we complained to the Rentalmar where we got the keys, they wanted us to move to another Apartment that they had, but, we would have to pay an extra â¬10 a day for it. The Apartments we bought in our package were advertised as 3*, how they could give it a Star is beyond me. I don't usually take notice of Reviews, but after this I got my package holiday which I paid a lot of money for from Stein Travel based in Tralee, Co. Kerry in Ireland. I contacted them the day we arrived in Apartments to complain, but all they could come up with was to agree and pay the â¬10 a day to move to another Apartment. I have sent photos by email to Stein travel and they won't even reply, if I ring and ask for "David "in Stein Travel who I bought the holiday from , the Receptionist reply is "he's on another call" I tell her to tell him to ring me back, but no return calls. There is "No" Customer Service from Stein Travel , oh sorry there is and that's if you want to buy a Holiday. If anyone wants photo evidence before they book the Murillo Apartments, I can provide, but one part I can't provide you with is the Rotten Smell.
Please all the reviews here are telling the truth, except if you came from very bad housing standards,or you are paid to say otherwise, believe the people who wrote the Genuine Reviews. Filthy Filthy Filthy is what they are. Thank you for reading and Hopefully you won't be fooled like we were.

Stayed here 2 weeks ago for a girlie break for 2 nights. Was wary after reading reviews but we're on a tight budget so thought we,d just risk it. Was pleasantly surprised as apartments were clean & spacious with good sized balconies. The lovely man on the desk even gave us appartments next door to each other & walked us round as it was late night. Great bars nearby & fab irish breakfast place round the corner

Stayed for a week in September 2017. Apartments were listed as 3 star... not a chance they are 3 star. No reception, arrived at 1.30am to walk the streets to locate apartment keys. Passer by stopped us to help us eventually.
If you do stay here, you are looking for Rentalmar to collect your apartment keys, they are located on the street behind the apartments.
The apartment was filthy, dirty sheets, dirty pillows, broken tiles on balcony, rotten smell in bathroom, disgusting bath (had to shower with flip flops on), dirty floors, dirty cutlery. Everything was dirty. The apartments are not serviced so we had no clean towels or sheets for the week & were given half a roll of toilet roll.
From speaking to other holiday makers all the apartments are in the same condition.
The apartments are residential with a number of units let to agents for holiday makers.
No sunbeds or pool bar.

Currently here at Murillo apartments and what an absolute waste of money it was. Booked here for 2 weeks with my partner. Spent 2 hours trying to find the apartment, wasn't informed we'd have to go to an agency place to collect keys as no reception, nor was we informed it would be a â¬50 per person deposit or a â¬2 tax per day to stay here! Already paid for the apartment so I don't know why we've had to pay more. Room is alright as we only use it to sleep in. Can't go round the pool really as there is no sun loungers unless we want to lay on the hard floor. The bathroom is in need of a make over, the water doesn't run away properly whilst having a shower. The towels given was like tea towels, so small! Had to buy all new ones from the shops. Had to buy all plastic cups as none in the cupboards to even have a drink here. All mop buckets here but no mop for me to wash the floors with. No cleaners have come yet and we are a week into our holiday, have one more week left. Only decent thing about it is the balcony and that the shops and restaurants and beach are literally a 5 min walk. Luckily we got a car out here so we can explore as there's not that much to do round here!

Signs were ominous when we eventually found apartment block 3 we had been directed to by the Reception staff as the front of the building was covered in graffiti. Inside it didn't get much better. Staircases with tired with crumbling paintwork. Apartment was grim and very basic Hot all the time due to no air con, open the windows and it was noisy at night. Beds were uncomfortable, very few utensils/crockery available, no bath towels provided, toilet stained, shower didn't hang on the wall. I'd like to say at least it was clean but it wasn't. Pool area had no sun loungers (no ball games or inflatables or T-shirts allowed in the pool) so unless you wanted to lay on a concrete floor was unsuitable to spend any time there. No cleaners visited our apartment during the week we were there, not change of sheets and towels. You are required to take your own rubbish out and clean up at the end of your stay. And they had the cheek to make us pay 100⬠deposit in case of damage or we failed to clean up. There's got to be better value for money in Salou than these apartments.
