Very good hotel in great location

This was the second time we stayed here (the previous visit was two years ago). We were two couples and got rooms near each other on the first floor. The staff at the reception were nice, especially the young man who checked us in and also chatted with us when we came back from a walk one day. The view from the balcony was not as good on the first floor as it was from a higher floor when we stayed here the first time, but it was ok. It is possible to go up to the rooftop area for better views. Despite being in a street corner with traffic, we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. The bus stop is conveniently located just outside the hotel, the beach is just across the main street and a supermarket across the side street. Wifi worked well (better and quicker than our previous stay here). The reception no longer handles rental car bookings, but instead a rental car agency (Sixt) now has a separate desk on the ground floor, where we booked a rental car and it was handled well. The car was delivered to the hotel in the morning and we parked it on a nearby street in the evening and left the key at the reception. The pool area is quite nice despite the street corner location, and it is surrounded by hedges to give some privacy from the street.
The apartment was large with a bed room and a sitting room with a sofa bed, a small dining table and kitchenette. We did not use the kitchenette except for making coffee. There was a complementary large bottle of water when we arrived and also a few coffee capsules, but if you need more coffee capsules you need to buy them from the reception. The bathroom had a reasonable size with quite a large area by the wash basin where you can put your things. The lighting was quite good. The shower was however in the bathtub, which was slippery. The beds were a bit too hard for our preference and the pillow quite hard and uncomfortable, but that seems to be the standard in the Mediterranean countries. The apartment was clean, but the surface of the floor (somewhat rough tiles) was a kind that seemed to attach dust easily. There was however a list on a sheet in the apartment where you could indicate if you wanted any extra cleaning of something in the apartment, so we ticked the floor and so it was cleaned every day.
Breakfast was very good and served from 8.00. You could choose to sit indoors or on the terrace by the pool. There were different types of bread, also whole grain which we appreciated very much, different types of cold cut meat, cheese and marmalade, fresh vegetables and fresh fruit, yoghurt and different types of cereal, muesli, nuts and dried fruit, a hot section with eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes, churros, pancakes and one day also waffles. The first day there was no fresh juice but only juice from a machine and it tasted bad. One of staff handed out a questionnaire to all guests at breakfast the first morning. We answered the questions and commented that the juice was bad and that we preferred fresh juice. The following days there was freshly squeezed juice which was very good.
Once again I recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again the next time we visit Port dâAlcúdia.

We went to Port'd Alcudia in September, the first time in Majorca for over a decade. This hotel is a small friendly hotel and the staff were lovely. We had to change rooms due to noise from a bar on the opposite corner but thanks to Joan, this was done with as little interruption to our day as possible. It wasn't the hotels fault- there wasn't any loud music, just VERY loud customers in the bar and everyone is on holiday and enjoys themselves in different ways. The studio apartments are all on the street side of thehotel, but it's a quiet street so it was fine. The second room was much bigger than the first with a corner balcony which got the sun from late afternoon until sunset, so perfect for pre-dinner drinks. The apartment was basic but had everything you'd need for basic cooking (we only boiled the kettle!) and also had washing up liquid, sponge and dish cloth. The maids were lovely and the room was clean with clean towels provided each day or on request.
The hotel's breakfast was buffet style and had everything you need- nothing fancy, just good food. There are lots of very local eateries to try, so we only ate in the hotel on one of our evenings and this turned out to be very good value - 12 euro per person inc a drink.
My mum fell over during our trip and Kersten on reception was as helpful as possible. We will hopefully be able to go back and stay there again!
Lovely

We booked this because of the good reviews. The position of the apartments between the port and old town is excellent and itâs a short 2min stroll to the beach. The beach is lovely and sandy, sun beds are â¬6.50 each per day.
The breakfast at the hotel was very good with a wide variety of hot and cold food. The pool area was nice and not crowded but this may have been the time of year. The downside of being close to everything is that it was a bit noisy from local bars at night but we got used to it. The beds are quite soft so I slept on the sofa bed in the living area as it had a firm mattress and then I slept fine.
We hired a car for two days and drove to Sóller then along the coastal mountainous M10 which was amazing. Pollensa is a lovely small town worth a visit as is the port.
excellent hotel for the port area

This hotel was chosen for its location. It's not really a beach hotel, more of a town hotel but within reach of the start of the long beach of Alcudia bay. It was comfortable with excellent swimming pool and the food was good too. The buses all pass next to the hotel so one could get to Pollenca or Alcudia town or in fact Palma and airport. Plus the taxi rank was close. Plenty of places within a few hundred metres to enjoy a meal out. Our accommodation had basic kitchen facilities which did not use as only staying 3 nights.
