Hotel for German people...

Hotel have a good location for Colonia Sant Jordi. We stayed for 3 weeks in July. Hotel was full of Germans... It was allowed to smoke everywhere outdoor...around the pool, from both sides of the restaurant outside. It was a big problem for us. Very bad pillows, not so good beds and very difficult to find a clean towel. Advice to hotel: to change bedlinen and towels not so often, more to check cleanliness of that. Animation and entertainment in evening was just like a joke. Many people bring cups and glass around the pool and the saff don't say nothing. Good food and nice bathroom.
Good food, comfy bed and nice pool!

The food was the highlight for me here. They serve different food for dinner each night, grest selection to pick from including grilled meats. The apartment is better than the hotel rooms do opt for that. Comfy bed and airconned rooms. The only thing id recommended for them to improve on is to have more friendly receptionists.. other than that its good.
Great family holiday

We have just come back from 2 weeks at the Aparthotel Isla de Cabrera with our children aged 4 & 2. We were on half board basis.
Restaurant:
The food at both breakfast and dinner was fresh, delicious and varied. Much of the food is cooked in a "show cooking" style and every night there's a theme. Plenty of fresh salads, fresh fruit (not only tinned!).... there's something for even the fussiest eaters. We liked that we were allocated a table for the duration and you can order a bottle of wine and they hold onto it until the next night. The waiters were very friendly and efficient, a special big thank you to Laura and Daynelis who looked after us!
Rooms:
The rooms are a good size and clean. Not particularly well equipped (glasses, plates, cups) but there's everything you need for making a sandwich or a basic meal. The rooms were clean and the maid came daily and replaced towels as required and changed the bedding mid-stay. Our room was quiet as we were in the block across the road but perhaps the apartments around the pool are noisier.
Location:
A 2 minute walk to the beach (even with a 2 year old and loaded with beach gear!!). Nice beach. Colonia Sant Jordi is nothing spectacular but you can do a nice run (or walk) around the coast (about 5km door to door).
Staff:
Friendly, helpful and efficient.
Pools:
There's 3 pools, plenty of sun beds and beach towels. We only went to the largest pool as it is the most appropriate for young children, our kids loved it!
Kids Club:
The guy who runs the mini club is very nice however it's not the kind of place you can check your kids into for an hour and put your feet up as the kids are free to come and go. There's a mini disco every night but it kind of struggles a bit to get going....
Entertainment:
We're not really into hotel entertainment but what we saw was pretty poor so you may be disappointed if you enjoy a good show on an evening....
All in all we had a great holiday and came back nice and relaxed. The clientele is predominantly German but we actually preferred this to being with brits! The only problem was that our children couldn't communicate with the other children but they seemed to have fun anyway!
We don't really like going back to the same place but if we did we would definitely go back to the Aparthotel Isla de Cabrera!
A lot better than all-inclusive hotels!!

We stayed at the aparthotel for 6 days in july. We were overwhelmed by the friendly reception when checking in, the pool area, the large modern apartment and the general cleanliness of the hotel. It's relatively small size is very appealing compared to the larger hotels we've stayed at in Mallorca, meaning there's plenty of space in the pool and in the buffet where there's plenty of choices of both local and more european offerings. We were half-board and it was really great!!
Colonia Saint Jordi is a very laid back town and the feel is almost local compared to other more touristy towns on the East coast that we've visited. I tried to count souvenirshops one night on a long evening stroll and I only got to 4 which would be at least quadrupled in Cala D'Or, Ratjada or Millor ð
The beaches nearby are pristine and all well kept and very 'eco' but they're lacking the dramatic cliffs and scenery you'll find at Cala Llombards, Mondrago, Calo des Moro etc.
All-in-all a great and 'we'll be back' experience!!!
Great Half Term Break

Lovely clean hotel with fantastic food! We were in Mallorca to watch our daughter swim and the Isla de Cabrera was a great find. Predominantly German clientele which was nice for a change - think they are quieter than the Brits. Apartments are spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms excellent - especially the shower! Would definitely go back.
