Do you want to ruin your holiday? Book this hotel

One star is far too generous. Aparthotel Wellington in Brussels unilaterally cancelled my booking for 3 apartments for me and my family, including a 5 month old baby, a 3 year-old little girl and three pensioners. The hotel sent me an email cancelling my booking ON THE SAME DAY that we were suppose to check in. We were already on our way from London to Brussels. In addition, they lied to me as they said they had to cancel due to leakes in the rooms. When i told them that i was on my way to see these leakes, they recognised they made that up and that the true reason was that they overbooked my apartments. Initially the aparthotel also said Brussels was full and that they could not offer us an alternative accommodation. Please remember, Brussels in winter is cold, we were travelling with old and babies.
Aparthotel Wellington are extremely unprofessional and unreliable. Not to be trusted. They should not be allowed to operate. They gave our rooms to other people just to make more money and let us literally on the street with kids and in winter. Appalling company. Think twice before you book.
It took me more than 20 calls to fix the situation. Booking.com eventually accepted to offer us an alternative accommodation and pay the difference. I do not understand why tripadvisor or booking.com work with hotels like this.
Disappointing and grubby

I stayed here on a business trip to Brussels and I'm afraid this place fell well short of my expectations.
On arrival there was a man in my room fiddling with the TV, I think he may have been from maintenance, but I would have expected the man on reception to warn me if my room was not ready.
The room was spacious and in a fairly quiet street, but it was really quite grubby. I have added some candid photos below but issues included poor electrical maintenance, doors that would not shut properly (e.g. between bedroom and kitchenette and the door to the bathroom), poor standards of cleanliness throughout and what appeared to be evidence of a small fire in the lift. Breakfast was not provided.
The power socket in the room was also hanging off the wall and did not look very safe. The TV reception was poor. The wifi signal was also very poor and unusable most of the time I was there (2 nights). I did not find the emergency exit as it was not signed and the reception was not manned 24 hours per day (in fact there was nobody there just before 9am when I wanted to check out on my day of departure).
The location was some way from the city centre.
Could certainly do better I would say! I will not be staying here again under any circumstances.

kind of okay for a short stint or an overnight crash. there's a fully equipped kitchen so u can make ur own food. if u are used to tea/coffe in the morning please carry tea bags, everything else has been provided. if you want to check in during late hours, check the letter boxes, you keys and wifi password would be provided in an envelope. Dont freak out seeing a locked reception ;-)
Not so well just good enough

Got caught in a jam of not having a place to stay in Brussels. T'was the only place near Avenue Louise that had a room available. It wasn't that bad. Had a kitchen and street view. Clean enough... Wi-Fi signal weak in the room otherwise stay at the reception to get better signal.

Stayed at Aparthotel Wellington from 10-June-2015 till 14-June-2015 in room number 511. Room are good. They also have kitchen so you can cook. Cleanliness is ok. Got a room having road-side view so it was good.
Note: The reception is available from 10am till 5pm. If you are planning to check-in during odd hours, please inform the reception or might face trouble.
