Astana Kunti such a nice hotel.
The price was really good and the ambience is okay.
The staffs are friendly too.
The breakfast tastes awesome and the portions are pretty large.

If youâre looking for a villa in Seminyak for reasonable price(SGD130/night), this would be a great option as theyâre conveniently located with great amenities nearby. Check-in was smooth and concierge are well versed in English for easy communication. Rooms are reasonable, though our aircon leaked(not heavily), the technicians are efficient and handled the work promptly. Villaâs pool is great and the huge king size bed is the best after a long day. Breakfast is provided and sent to your villa and they offer a good range of choices for you to order from a day before. Room does not come with a chiller but has 2 bottled water. There is a kitchenette in the vicinity itself but we did not use it. There was a signage that indicates uber/grab/gojek is not allowed to pick-up passengers in the vicinity, but drop off is ok. They do provide bike rentals, 70,000 rupiah(approx. SGD7) a day, petrol would be at your own cost. Top up of petrol is convenient as its located not far from the Villa and it cost about 8000 rupiah(approx. SGD 0.80 cents) per litre. Do take the bike if you want to get around as it will save you lots of transportation cost for your trip. Overall experience is pleasant.
Do not stay here

We were very excited about our trip to Bali upon arriving at our villa our excitement disappeared
First was the noise from the pool pump that was right outside our bedroom as we really wanted to reconnect with each other after a difficult year we went for a private villa with its own pool when we complained about the noise the attendant said oh it turns off at night. Then we entered our villa all l could do was cry it was dirty smelly and in desperate need of maintenance as you will see from the photos. The next thing l noticed was the filthy linen it looked like it had been washed in the river l was completely devastated l so desperately wanted this to be the best holiday yet for us. After losing a nights sleep due to the smell of the room we demanded to be moved they showed us three rooms and we choose the best out of a bad bunch. The staff did everything they could to make us comfortable to the damage was done the owners of this resort need to spend money on it it looks like it hasnât had a coat of paint since being built it amazes me that they owner would allow this resort to deteriorate so badly they should be ashamed of themselves l would never go back nor recommend this resort to anyone
Nice rooms, a bit far from the center

Astana Kunti hotel is overall a great hotel, with big rooms, nice shared pool and friendly staff.
Since it is a bit far from the center of bali, and no GrabTaxi and Uber is allowed to pick up from the hotel, we struggled a bit with finding a ride to Seminyak square which is where all the nice restaurants and bars are.
The breakfast was okay, nothing special. They serve it to your room and let you choose from a variety of breakfast menus. We had eggs, ham and croissant.
There isnât a nearby Mini-mart so you have to walk for about 5-7 minutes in a road which is not very pleasant especially at night time where there isnât much light.
We stayed at the â1 Bedroomâ which was basically a Studio room with a closing door for the toilet and an exit to the pool area. In my mind I thought it would be a living room, bedroom, toilet and a balcony so I was a bit disappointed. But perhaps the villa is better.
We tried upgrading to the villa directly with the hotel but they told us itâs fully booked while on Booking.com it was available⦠Very weird.
When we left the hotel we tried booking an uber and had to walk outside since âno uber is allowed in the hotelâ , it was raining and after 5-10 minutes the driver called to say he canât go in (or someone wonât let him in) so we went back to the lobby and they called us a taxi which charges a minimum fee of about 3 times the price we had to pay via uber.
when the driver finally arrived we were stopped by the hotelâs security who had an umbrella since it was pouring outside. We though he was going to help us or offer the umbrella at least but all he cared about was our room number, when in fact we were obviously checked out as we had our luggages with us. After telling him that we checked out already and this is our taxi to the next hotel, he shrugged us off, left us and did not bother to offer any help nor his umbrella.
Super bad experience for me. Sorry Astana kunti but I wonât be coming back.
Don't let the pictures fool you

My partner and I booked this hotel for 5 nights - we were in an apartment 1 bedroom so this review is based on this as we didn't get to see what the villas are like. The first room we stayed in (room 111) had the worst damp, mouldy smell I have ever experienced. If the smell wasn't bad enough the room looked nothing like the pictures, there was stains all over the couch, paint peeling from the walls and the towels had holes and stains on them. The breakfast included was really average and small so we ended up going out and having a 'second' breakfast most days.
On the second day when we complained about the smell we were moved to room 117 without to much of a fuss. This room had a better smell but still wasn't 100% also much like the first room there were still holes in towels, stains on the duvet and the water from the shower smelt metallic/ rusty. I came on trip advisor to read other reviews and really feel it doesn't match what we experienced but as mentioned the villas might be better than the apartments.
