This hotel is a joke. It is falling apart. Be prepared to join the dreary eyed zombies in the hotel lobby as the free WiFi is so poor, it barely makes it to the next room.
There is a small fridge in my room. It is noisy and I doubt that it could keep Ice frozen. There are no tea or coffee making facilities.
The Gym is worse than pathetic, it is a health hazard.
The owners seriously need to spend some money on this hotel. It is NOT 4 star. I would give it a 3 at best.
You will need a car as your are stuck in the middle of farm land. The walk to the beach is not the sort of slog that I would take young children on.
The food is quite average but there is plenty of it.
I feel for the staff. They seems quite nice and very apologetic.
Shame that the management subject them to the constant complaints from guests about the poor quality of everything.

We had originally booked a room at their sister hotel, MH Dona Rita. When we got there it was closed! There was a small sign on the door that said we were moved to Atlantico Golf. I'm glad we were moved because Dona Rita is horrible (see my review at MH Dona Rita).
MH Atlantico Golf is a lot nicer than the Dona Rita but it seems like it has seen better days. We were first offered one of their small apartments, but it was dark and the bedrooms are upstairs and I am physically impaired, so we asked for a room in their main hotel.
We were given a room on the 4th floor with a nice view of the ocean for no increase in price, which was nice. The room itself was large and comfortable, but as I said, looks like it has not aged well.
The bathroom was a good size, however the shower head leaked. We had to take the drain stop out of the shower because it did not drain at all and the bottom of the shower filled with water. Once we removed the drain stop it worked. Same for the sink -- very slow draining.
We ate dinner there on our first night and the dinner buffet was average -- nothing special. The next 2 nights we ate dinner in downtown Peniche where there are many wonderful restaurants.
If I were going to Peniche again in the future I would definitely not stay at this hotel again.

This is the same hotel that I stayed in some 19 years ago and it shows signs of age. It's eaxactly as it was, which is not a good thing to say after so many years. The hotel definatelly needs a complete renovation. I lime the location (quiet) and the price is cheap...

We traveled with 2 children. Enough space on room for 4 people, price a bit expensive for a 4 star hotel. Nice breakfast, children loved the interior pool. All employes were kind, specially Sandra at reception , and the cleaning team on 4th floor.
In a near future should get some more maintenance works, like to expand the parking ( always full) and new showers.
if you love beach, there is a lovely and wild one at 5 min walk, nice to surf waves , it is the same as the famous "Super tubos". , car needed to go to Peniche ( 10 min drive).
We will come back if the prices get a bit more...reasonable.

I already stayed at this hotel a couple of times, but the last time I stayed at the villas!its a quiet hotel, with a nice pool and gardens!has a breakfast with a variety of food and also the dinner buffet is very good!the staff is nice!I think the rooms and villas need some remodeling but are still confortable!the hotel has a golf area, car parking, spa and internal pool!it you want to go to the beach you can walk, but i think that there are better beaches if you take the car!I will return for sure!
