Where should I start? No one to welcome us at the hotel. Asked for a non-smoking room, got a room smelling of smoke. Finding out that the washroom was wet and water was on the floor and toilet without us ever using it. Although we were then given a different room but the first impression was not a good one. At night, you can here the music coming from the nightclub behind the hotel. Our room-door was knocked at dawn by those just coming back from the club. Breakfast time, the food was not that great and we came earlier than the people that suppose to work during the breakfast shift. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Not fit for business. I can tell they put in new chairs, table even the bed frame. The whole hotel plus all the fitted furnitures are probably over a century old.
The stain carpet should definitely be removed. You can't find a single clean spot on it.
Blackout throughout the night. No kidding, you read that right.
Pillow cases and sheet with stains like polka dots, which was supposed to be white in color. You will be broke if they charge just a penny for each stain.
Grab you suitcase and check out immediately if possible. You are better off sleeping on the street.
The owner truly doesn't care about the comfort of the guests.

This hotel suitable for those who need a lot of rooms and big banquet wedding party. I booked several rooms for the guests of my brother's'wedding and also booked the banquet rooms for 50 or more tables.
Food is okay, not as delicious as usual, room is okay, location is 4.5km from the city centre. On weekends, quite noisy discotheque can be heard from the rooms.
There are Many food hawkers near the hotel at night time, esp. Crab /seafood seller with tents.. If you wanna go near ciTy, pick something else or take taxi..
If you plan to walk, better stay in the city centre.

Stayed one night only. Very old hotel and quite pricey for what it is. Checking in was fast and the staff were very courteous & friendly. Spacious room but had this musty odour. Bed spread had blood stains (my colleague in the next room also had the same). Free WiFi and good size TV with international channels. Breakfast was typically local except for the eggs corner. The pub downstairs and the disco at the back were pretty noisy.

I stayed for 3 nights in HBI , for your information I stayed in suite room. Despite so called "big discounts" this hotel still overcharged for
1) dirty suite room , dirty toilet , old and musty odour in the air
2) frequent blackouts ! 3 times a day !
3) Goddamned noisy , the pub and the karaoke bar beside the hotel made so much noise
4) Very seedy place , plenty of girls hangout that hotel
5) The hotel receptionist staff are trained predator , they will NOT help you to find taxi with argometer but compelled you to take exorbitant priced hotel taxi
If you look for seedy place in Banjarmasin then you come to the right place , if not avoid this place ! Ain't worth your time , money and your soul !
