We tried the restaurant out on a Friday evening . The food was excellent my partner is a vegetarian and always goes for the fish and chips as a safe option she said they were on a par with the best she has ever had and shes had alot of fish and chips! I always judge a restaurant by their mixed grill and the price ....firstly it was £16 which I think is very very good and secondly it was enormous more like a belly buster which I love as I do like quantity so if you want a good quality and big meal go to the Bank of fleet hotel I will definetly be eating here again and fully recomend it

After finding somewhere reasonably priced for Christmas Day lunch we thought we'd treat the family by going out and we certainly made the right choice. Served by welcoming and friendly staff which then created a lovely relaxed atmosphere (which suited us especially with having a 4 children and two of them being a 1 & 2yr old). The food on a whole was absolutely delicious and what a great choice from the carvery so a 'HUGE' well done to Ian & the kitchen team. We especially loved your after eight desserts & the house wine!! You'll be seeing us again for Christmas 2018! Thank you very much bof team for making our day special & memorable.

We spent a very easy going comfortable half-hour in the Bank of Fleetâs hotel bar on the main and only main road going through the Gatehouse of Fleet. It was certainly not busy, and, I trust, that times are usually better for them. Prices at the bar were actually very cheap compared to neighbouring hostelries. I hope they do well.

After being rudley greeted by a member of staff, we were made to feel like an inconvience to the restaurant as it was supposedly 'busy'. Me and my partner chose to have starters as well as a main. The starters came out burnt and average. When the mains came out (fish and chips x2), my fish was significantly smaller than my partners, which the waitor noticed, commented on it being a half fish and tried to return it. Only to bring the same plate back saying the kitchen said it was a full fish.
After begrudgingly accepting, the chips were cold but at this point I was starving, I decided to just eat it but, as I proceeded to eat the next chip, I found a dead fly. This is unacceptable and informed the waitress. She removed the plate without a word or apology. I was then left without any explaination or acknowledgment from ANY member of staff for longer than 10 minutes. Customer service was shocking and I will not be returning to the restaurant ever again.

We were the only people in for food at the start of the meal but we did have a toddler so were probably earlier than normal eating out time. By the end a few more people had arrived. There was a varied menu with lots of choice and the kids menu was more interesting than the standard sausage, mash and chips. I had a pork option and the sauce was divine. It took longer than ideal for the main course to arrive but the waiting staff were helpful and pleasant. Enjoyable family meal.
