Freezing cold small room

We arrived on the Thursday afternoon and were shown to our room up 4 flights of stairs .no lifts. We complained to reception about the room . Bottom quality room with top quality price and the room was freezing with no hearing on. It's only December after all.
The owner came up to the room and simply said, if you don't like it you can always leave. It's real easy just to get another hotel !!!! He then calmed down a bit and offered us 50 euro off the 330 total Bill, a small gesture. He told us the heating came on between 17.00 and 10.00 the next morning. The radiators were off by 09.00.
The shower and toilet were so small that if you carried a few extra pounds you wouldn't be able to use them. You had to open the shower door to wash you feet.
The electric sockets did not totally cover the wiring. The carpets didn't fit.
All of the wardrobes didn't open.
They didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay when we left.
No kettle in room
Location ok
Very Friendly Staff...but not good value

Dated room and no elevator. I am old so it was a bit of a climb. I want to stress that the staff was very nice and helpful. It was not a long way to the new tram. The shower was small and low water pressure.
Great location!

Ideal location at O'Connell Street, next to the transport links for airport buses, and within walking distance to everything in Dublin. The staff was nice and very informative to all our questions. Would definitely use again.
TOP RATES... FOR A SECOND RATE STAY

More than happy to remain rational about peoples comments and experiences and booked Barrys hotel with an open mind and benefit of doubt... It has to be said they have managed effortlessly to demonstrate how not to run a Hotel, thoroughly indifferent to their customer expectation. When providing services to the public it has to be accepted that they will have an opinion, Barrys is delusional if it regards its VERY expensive services as a decent standard... small cold room in need of attention, with a badly modernised bathroom but im not getting into that blah blah!!.... It is often said you get what you pay for at Barrys you dont get anywhere near what you pay for , simply if you can avoid it there are some lovely stays in Dublin at cheaper cost.... But hey I paid so whos the mug!... thanks for an atrocious stay... I will, in future, book my luxury accommodation hahahhahhhaaaahhh!! more carefully in the future, good luck you need it.(as well as a full refurb)
