Nothing was cheap at this time of year but baycrest at least felt like value for money with a big clean room, cooking facilities, spa bath and lovely balcony and view. The was also a thermal pool and laundry that we didnât use. Would stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are amazing, rooms are a great size and they are beautifully clean. The thermal pool is our absolute highlight and the "almost" swim up bar is an added bonus. The hosts are so obliging and they make your stay extremely enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place you won't be disappointed.

On our recent trip to New Zealand, we had booked Baycrest Lodge to stay at. We had originally booked a Thermal Hot tub room but the weather was unseasonally hot when we arrived. Our host greeted us on arrival with a choice of two rooms. Our original room which was lovely and had a hot tub in the rear or an upstairs room which had views across Lake Taupo. Given the weather was so hot we didn't feel like a hot tub and took the upper room which was lovely with a large balcony to enjoy the views. Having said that, our original room was also lovely and either would have been terrific.
The accommodation was spacious and had a good kitchette area. It was very clean with nice quality soaps provided. Parking was very easy and our host had many ideas of things to do. The pool was lovely and had a room with couches and a bar right next door. The whole complex was clean and well maintained.
We would return to Taupo again but we would stay longer next time as there was plenty to see and do both in Taupo and the surrounding areas. We would certainly stay again at this accommodation.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious unit with balcony and great views over lake. Friendly, accommodating hosts and staff. Not far from town centre, and handy to lakefront. Would stay here again, and recommend it to friends and family.

Very nice clean comfortable room which was serviced daily with good view of lake, friendly helpful staff, we had issues with noisy neighbors on the first evening that was addressed quickly and professionally. Good parking facilities and easy walking distance to the township with lots of eateries on the way, Lake water front just a very short walk away.
