I stayed at Asterion âPalaceâ because it was a part of the package that the tour company i used put together. Hotel staff were unfriendly and brusque; no help with luggage given to senior citizens ( I almost qualify), no elevator. They put seniors on the first floor and expect you to climb with your luggage. On the second day after rooms were made the bath towels and hand towels had not been replaced. They said the towels were arriving âby carâ. There was no tea or coffee, no mugs, no kettle in the room. The mini fridge in the room was only a space occupier because it did not work. Of course the breakfast was cold and repetitive, but much has already been written about that. Totally avoidable!

I stayed there for 3 days because the hotel was booked by my AFC tour package company. The hotel is very sleepy and so the staff, rooms are very basic with no amenities to offer. Talking about breakfast, it was as cold as Tbilisi weather and there was repeated everyday. Moreover, it seems that the staff are unhappy working there as they never smile, talk or offer you any assistance (they did not even offer to bring my luggage to my room), except one guy at the reception. I asked them a king or queen size double bed but instead, they combined two single bed together with separate single comforter for a couple. There are no views available over the window and the beds are small, not suitable for a guy like me who is 5"11. A gentle suggestion, book some other hotel with much more less price and with a convenient location.

I have stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in order to have a training course for 13 engineers because this hotel was one of tbilisi hotels containing a meeting hall. Although the facilities of this hotel was ok but I was not very satisfied with the meeting hall because it was just a ball room and was not well equipped for meetings and courses. In addition, the rooms were cold and the heating system was not working. But this hotel has some advantages too. For example the breakfast was very good for a 3 stars hotel. The cleaning of the rooms was fantastic and the prices of the hotel were reasonable. In addition most of the staff were ploite and could speak English. So comparing to other 3 star hotels in georgia I suggest you this one. Because this was my second trip to tblisi and comparing to the first trip hotel that I prefer not to mention the name this one was much better.

we stayed at the hotel for 4 night, my experiences would be useful- honestly:
- location is east of Tbilisi, is not close to city center,the Tbilisi is not a big city although the location is not punishment
- breakfast: repeat every morning,same and same, no innovation,no interest,very simple,no sign for food names even HALAL or not
- staff: there is no any processional staff, they never care that u want, they are not responsible, they work as a robot- no hello,no laugh, they are not fluent in English (just some words about rooms and so on)- not friendly,when u call to reception alot of ring and no one answer ( there is not a important for them), i asked them for several time to give us safe box,change my room and they never care on me
- rooms: very simple but clean,no safe box, no LCD, no professional house kipper, a lot of noise from the behind rooms (bad sense), mini bar was empty, no sun no brightness.
3 stars are in Three underground floors and 4 stars room are in 1-2 floor but catering are same- no different
in my mind u can find the better 3-4 star hotel, they needs some more education - is not worth

We had been to Tbilisi and were put up in Asterion Palace by our tour operators. Our first impression and experience was very bad. At the time of check-in, we were told that rooms were not ready. Further, we were informed that our luggages would be sent to our rooms as soon as they are ready and they were tagged. After we came back from the day tour and checked in to our rooms, the baggages were not in. Upon checking, we were told that they are in the cloak room below and simply opened the room for us to take our own. There were no bell boys around. Finally after a long time, one guy appeared and started to take baggages to the rooms. It was another hour before we got our bags into the room. The breakfast was the same everyday with pork and beef daily leaving no choice for other meat lovers or vegetarians. When asked for a fried egg, they said it would be an extra charge. The rooms are just the very basic with no tissue box, no kettle for hot water, the shower area in the bathroom is cramped etc. The hotel had a restaurant where alcholic drinks were available but several items of food on the menu card were not available, including some simple items like French Fries. The services and hospitality of the staff was pathetic. They do not seem to understand customer service. I would not rate this hotel any more than 2 star. Overall a very bad experience staying at Asterion Palace.
