Welcomed by very friendly and efficient staff at Reception. Lucy was very helpful. Our chalet was clean, comfortable and neat with glorious aircon in the after summer heat of ±37°. Katrina who attended to the chalet kept it spotless. The pool is beautiful and refreshing. The Restaurant served delicious food and the shop is very well stocked. Overall a beautiful camp. S'Belive did an awsome night drive, highly recommended! Enjoyed every minute.
Great animal viewing

Caravan park was neat and tidy.Ablutions were kept reasonably clean given the number of guests present in the camp.
We only saw one monkey in the camp site, which was a relief as they can be quite a nuisance.
The nearby swimming pool is old, but was much appreciated, especially after a long day in the car.
All in all a good experience in Satara.
Delapidated bungalows.

Stayed in january with temperature hovering at
+36 °C a working A/C would have made our stay better.
Geyser not function properly.
Toilet cistern drips water and mosquito nets needs to be replaced too.
Solace was found in game viewing,Cats spotted often in and around satara.
Accomodation = CATASTROPHIC..
The camp has drastically deteriorated & in need of rejig.
Sagging mattresses makes you feel tired because of tossing and turning trying to find the correct support from confounding beds* torture.
Stay somewhere else & only drive to this game rich area as a day visitor..
Lions

There is a lot of Lions in the area but the bungalows requires an upgrade. Dont expect luxurious in the camp as the furniture is old and needs to be replaced. Secure parking
The curio shop is the best thing in the camp and are well stock. The restaurant is not worth a visit.
Stick to viewing the game in aera

The location is fantastic. But other than that, Satara is a bit of a disappointment.
The bungalow we stayed in was dingy and not very clean. Everything seemed old and tatty. Food choices were very limited - when we were there, the restaurant was shut but there was a takeaway pizza place, which was fine. On the plus side, we could see elephants walking by as we ate our pizza.
We did a morning game drive, which we enjoyed although the vehicle used was massive and beeped when reversing, which the animals didn't like!
Overall, this place is a little disappointing as it could easily be so much better.
