I went back to Ibiza ten years on from when I first stayed at the Reco de Sol apartments. I timed it so that I would be there for the long weekend and therefore the bank holiday Monday meant that I could enjoy an extra day without using up any holiday but more importantly I could enjoy paella night again. Imagine my despair when I found out that Paella night had been moved to Thursday because it was getting more popular. Had I known in advance I'd have flown out weds to Sunday and used an extra days holiday (it would have been worth it!).
Furthermore, when I asked where Walliron was, the new receptionist said that he had left in 2009 to become a David Walliams impressionist in the local bars and clubs. All in all I was deeply upset as I had made him a picture of a stack of water bottles that I painted myself and wanted to present it to him on Paella night!
The wifi is free and the signal was strong, which eased my disappointment, and the rooms still good value at 99â¬.

We really loved this hotel. Got a nice room facing the sea (also the clubs, but that didnt matter to us), the view was beautiful, big bathtub and good size of the room. The staff was very helpful! We had a lot of questions and they helped us with directions and recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Ibiza. The pool area was nice, mostly packed in the daytime, but we did go in the afternoon. You can order drinks from the bar and use the sun beds for free.
The location of the hotel is perfect, only a short walk (10 min) to San Antonio Bay and only 5 min to the beach. We would stay here again!

Honestly the hotel is great for the money, I had a too to myself. Shower was fine, bed was OK and loads of space for clothes. Only flaw, was on the third day... Some people who were staying a rather large group brought down a massive speaker and had their own activities day going on, not asking if anyone else wanted to take part and playing foreign music which no one other than the self was happy listening too. There was about 30 of them, the first half an hour it was quite funny to watch but it ended up going on for a good 2 hours until we even mentioned it as we thought it was taking the piss.
Other than that one moment, everything was great, staff was cool.. Nothing to worry about.

We had 4 apartments in this hotel for 18 of us. The penthouse apartment was very spacious with 2 bathrooms which was great with 7 of us sharing. The other apartments lacked space once the sofa beds were out though. Great quiet location with the Ocean Beach Club just around the corner. Lovely pool area with bar, would definitely stay again.

Great location, situated right behind Ocean beach. Quiet enough that you can sleep by the pool during the day, but close enough to everything that you can walk. Room was a nice size for three people, and great view of the pool. Huge balcony which was a plus. Free wifi didn't work.
Customer service by the hotel staff, particularly in reception, wasn't great. There was only ever one person there so often had to wait, and on one occasion we waited at least 5 minutes until the receptionist even acknowledged us, even though we were the only ones there!
On check out, they accused us of drinking a bottle of water which we absolutely did not do, so we challenged and had to write out a note to explain that we didn't drink it...
I would stay again, purely for location, but the staff definitely need to learn how to provide a good customer service.
