What People are saying
"Where are you mate?"... "I'm in Blooming Paradise"

First we stayed in 777 (ground floor so don't know what's with the 7s?), don't stay in there, it's in between reception and the restaurant. Weird! Maybe it was originally meant to be an office?
Staff were friendly, helpful but lazy (contradiction I know). When we asked to change rooms to a cheaper one, and one not in the main thoroughfare, they made us sign up to a website to book it online, as they couldn't be bothered changing the online booking on their end. You needed to be Indian to use the website, which is super weird. We got the cheaper room, but we were then charged a booking fee which made the room more $$$ than the original room. We argued with the manager, and he said we should have just booked through them, not online. We tried to explain that this is exactly what we tried the do, but not sure if this was lost in translation. He dropped the fee, but wasn't happy about it, and said the receptionist would have to pay it... this made us feel terrible.
Second room was much better, a lot more quite.
Location was very good. Right next to the flighting and dancing (we could hear it from our room). Just walking distance to the elephant rides, restaurants and Perier national park.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Good TV. English Channels like movies and National Geo were a treat.
WORST FOOD AND AMENITIES SERVED AT THEKKEDY

Actually it was the mistake of our tour operator M/s paradise-Kerala who have finalized this hotel in last minutes into our itinerary. Neither we got breakfast (which was complementary) there nor we got the good non-veg food (dinner) in the market. Electricity was also in on & off mode in this particular hotel. It was like we were feeling completely blocked at one place without food and facilities which we had actually paid off.
TOUR OPERATOR M/s Paradise response was very very slow and even after taking advance till there last minute assurance they have not provided the tree house we requested with extra cost burden in munnar.
Very basic hotel with bare minimum amenities

This one is a deluxe hotel (maybe 2-star or 1-star). There is no elevator in the hotel, no air-conditioning, rooms are very simple, though quite neat, clean and tidy. Bathroom had old fittings, which was not up to the mark. TV only had few hindi channels and lots of South-Indian channels. Only good thing about this hotel is its location- ayurvedic spa just opposite, barely 400 m from the main market area, Kathakali and Kalari shows right besides the hotel, ATM too at a walking distance.
Neat one with needed facilities.

Clean & neat rooms. Veg restaurant is there. Also lot of hotels around there. Only 4 km away from Periyar Thekkady lake. Good room service & staffs. Hot water available. Really like it. I booked through a call. They confirmed the room before 2 days by call.
Good Hotel

Its a nice hotel. main plus point is its on the market place, shoppers paradise for spices , tea & gift items.
Huge rooms, Good food(only veg). Staff are good & cordial -they packed our breakfast which was included in the package at 7 a.m in the morning as we have to check out early
