Spent a night and had Dinner. This is a five star which lives up to its billing. Were in an Executive Suite which was like a one bed apartment and was a real wow.
Spa very good.
Dinner was excellent, although some better/more vegetarian options would be good.
Breakfast good too, lots of cooked options.
Drinks reasonably price.
Staff all very good
Lovely place with lots of pointers to its past.
Ahead of some of Edinburgh City Centre 5* hotels.

Enjoyed our two night stay. Very comfortable. All staff very welcoming. Good sized room with comfortable bed. Separate bath and shower, all good quality.
Downside was poor WiFi connection in room,had to queue for breakfast and the spa thermal rooms and pool was to busy.

All round excellent. Great lunch and cocktails, spa is superb with a nice assortment of rooms. Lovely room albeit a bit of refurb going on nearby. Great breakfast with really wide choice in a lovely room. Staff are delightful.

I stayed here with my partner for his birthday, and thought I would try to see if they could do anything special for it. To my surprise when we entered the room there was a slate with sweet treats as well as a handwritten message (picture attached). We stayed in the superior room which was very spacious, had a lovely bathroom and extremely comfy bed! The staff were pleasant throughout the stay and we were always acknowledged when passing them. The spa was a relaxing experience and we made full use out of it! Not too busy and lots of different treatment rooms to discover. The hotel is in a very central location with a five/ten minute walk to plenty of bars and restaurants as well as Buchanan Street. Breakfast was delightful and a variety of food was on offer to us. All in all it was a fabulous hotel and I would definitely come back again!

My partner and I make sure we visit Blythswood Square every couple of months as itâs our favourite place to get away and chill out for the weekend (and weâre only from Edinburgh!) itâs worth saving some pennies!
The staff are very welcoming, particularly the guys on the door! You always get a laugh with them and itâs great they help you up to your room with luggage.
The rooms are superb. Our last visit was a the start of January this year and I think the room had been refurbished.. couldnât fault anything with it. The showers are amazing along with the huuuge bath tubs. The decor is just lovely throughout the hotel.
My only gripe on my last visit would be that the spa seemed a little run down. A lot of lights were out, none of the showers (not sure what else to call them!) in the pool were working & bits of the wall were hanging down. I doubt it would be left in this repair with the standard of the hotel, so hopefully itâs been repaired as the spa is fantastic on its day, to have it included with your room is a bonus.
Back next week and I canât wait! This time we have two birthday girls as a surprise with us & theyâve been eager to stay.. excited!
