We visited Valkenburg in the week before Christmas and we had seen a route through the city with a number of restaurants where we would be served an amuse. Sounded perfect and although the weather was not that great, we had a very good time. We started in the restaurant of Hotel Botterweck where the amuse was two nicely sized chorizo croquettes; absolutely lovely!

The location is perfect: windows on a quieter street but right at the start of the busy streets with restaurants.
Check in was very friendly. Private parking is â¬10 per day for a car. We paid â¬5 for a motorcycle. There's very limited space so reserve in advance.
The rooms are small but clean. No phone but free wifi. There's no air conditioning but there is a fan. Personally I wouldn't stay here when its very hot.
Breakfast was good: freshly baked bread. Horrible coffee though! Staff took coffee from the machine behind the bar. That says it all: they don't drink the coffee they serve their guests ;)
All in all: would recommend as the rooms are priced very reasonably!

The Botterweck is the ideal place to stay in Valkenburg, family run and very friendly, no task is too small or large for their great staff. It is just a few feet from the main street, and the Christmas parade goes right past its doors.

We have visited this hotel over several years, Hotel is lovely and the service and breakfast good. This year we booked an apartment with the hotel. All i can say is
that the quality of the apartments, does not compare to the lovely hotel rooms. They
are quite dull and need upgrading especially apartment 3, which we declined. we did
however accept another apartment. We do love this hotel as we have fond times to
remember with our parents staying to attend the xmas markets. Just had to say that
we were disappointed in the apartments.

Its a cheaper option in a cozy tourist place..Service is not good at all. Though its very near to the Train Station but their Service and food is not that much good. You have to try their Jelaato Ice Cream. This is only things that is good in this hotel.
