My husband, our friend and I spent one evening at Bridge Guest House and enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable but the friendly inn keeper was the highlight. It was refreshing to stay at a place that seemed genuinely concerned with the comfort of their guests. He greeted us at the door, showed us to our room and offered an amazing breakfast in the morning. They had both cold cereals, fruit, and juices as well as cooked breakfasts and omelette options. They even offered to make up a sandwich for you if you were on the go! It's right next to the train station and we paid 49 pounds for the night including breakfast so can't really beat it for convenience and price.

Convenient B&B, literally few minutes walk from train station. Also not far from marina and town centre. Rooms very simple and in need of upgrading but good enough for a nights stay. Hot shower, clean bed linen and towels and really delicious full English breakfast.

From the very tatty room to the boring breakfast to the high price for what you are getting this place is awful, simple as that. it is near the station and that's the only good thing. Not good at all.

Had I known that the owner of this place subjects all his guests to his religious beliefs,I would have chosen a better place.
I thought, after the case of the Christian,Welsh B&B owners not wanting a same sex couple in their home, because it went against their own beliefs, that all business' could not subject their own religion on their guests.
This is not the case it seems, or this place is breaking those rules..let me explain;
The acommodation is basic(not a problem as you get what you pay for)
Breakfast consists of help yourself to cerials etc. Cooked breakfast(I asked for a Full English;Bacon, egg, tomato, hash browns, mushroom, sausage) what I got was everything,except the bacon, as the owner is a muslim, so, because of his teligious beliefs, I got what he calls "turkey bacon" which basically forced me to accept his religious belief.
I have no grudge with islamic beliefs,or with muslims per sé but I thought, since hoteliers are not allowed to discriminate, they cannot surely make their guests comply with their beliefs either.
If he doesn't like or want to have bacon on his premises(or any pork products-the sausage was vegetarian not pork) and the staple Full English; consists mainly of porcine products, he might want to either forget his beliefs(which cannot be so strong,as the female cook wasn't wearing a niqab full face covering) or find another career choice, one which doesn't interfere with his or his guests reasonable choice of food

I booked this place on the basis of a nice clean room and nice breakfast. How wrong was I? The room was absolutely disgusting the shower wasn't hot no pressure either the door was hanging of its hinges the bed felt damp what I slept in I slept fully clothed. On state of arrival we asked would it be ok for an 18tonne vehicle to be parked up in the car park. Yes this is not a problem we was told. As we got there there is a 12.6ft bridge and we was 13.6ft so it took us twenty minutes to drive round the other way to get on the b n b car park even though it was through 7.5t restricted areas absolute shambles right next to a train line as well where the trains kept us up most of the night. We went down for breakfast when the guy asked us to choose breakfast of the menu. It didn't look very appealing to be honest so I asked for two fried eggs with a round of toast. As they arrived I buttered my toast to find the bread was mouldy. So I asked the guy to come over and told him he said I'm really sorry can I get you so more which I replied no thanks. All in all I would never ever recommend this facility to anyone. Overall rating I don't think I would rate this even 1 out of 10. Absolutely shocking! I'm still angry with this place three days after stopping here.
