A very comfortable, quiet hotel near the airport - a great option for late arrivals, early departures, or for those seeking to avoid âTana city traffic for a more relaxed departure time. Rooms were well-equipped, with TV, minibar, and a safe. Bathrooms had double-sinks and a nice shower (good pressure). The beds were the most comfortable we had in the 7 properties we stayed at during our Madagascar tour.
The best part of our stay here was the breakfast - ample choices with tropical fruit, French pastries, and full cooked English breakfast (eggs to order, bacon, baked beans, etc). The restaurant was modern and elegant; an easy option for an evening meal, especially the desserts.

The main selling point of this hotel is its location close to Ivato Airport - after a long journey, you don't really want to be battling with the heavy traffic into Tana, and I'm very glad that we were therefore able to arrive at our hotel within fifteen minutes of leaving the airport. However, for me the pièce de résistance was the beds, in particular the pillows. They are SO comfortable - I don't remember ever finding any as soft and comfortable as these anywhere! When we landed in Madagascar it was late at night and we had been flying for twelve hours. We then had to queue for two hours to get through immigration, and by the time we arrived at Relais des Plateaux it was 2am and I had a splitting headache. I get a lot of these and it usually takes a day or two for me to recover, so I was sad to think that the first day of our holiday was about to be spoiled by a headache. However, when I woke up the following morning, to my enormous surprise, I felt absolutely fine! I had had an excellent night's sleep.
Unless your stay requires you to be in central Antananarivo for much of the time, I honestly cannot see why you would choose anywhere other than Relais des Plateaux. It is the perfect choice for overnight stops when travelling around Madagascar: sensibly located and wonderfully comfortable.

We stayed at the hotel for one night upon arrival into Madagascar and also had a day room before flying home.
Its a five minute drive to\from the airport so perfect after a long flight and late night arrival, the front desk got us checked in efficiently and showed us to our room (It took us 30 mins from landing to being in our room!) which was pleasant enough, nothing special but clean and comfortable, same with the bathroom, nothing special but everything worked and did its job,
The food was a lot better than we expected, both of us really enjoyed our food and the portions were a decent size (not a bad price either).
As an 'airport' hotel it does its job admirably.

The rooms are equipped with all the necessities - air conditioning, TV, good shower, and a very comfortable bed. The restaurant has a varied menu and produces a lovely breakfast with omelettes made to order.

Reception was thankfully efficient when we arrived after midnight after the flight from London. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Every need and want catered for. Nice bathroom, good shower, very comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful. We were allowed to leave bags in a secure room whilst we departed for various adventures to return five and even ten days later.
We would rate the hotel higher if the food matched the rest of the offer. The restaurant service was good. The soups were tasty and generous. Thereafter the food was strangely disappointing in context of this otherwise comfortable and very hospitable establishment.
