I stayed in this hotel when I was in Carcasonne on business in July and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is moments off of the motorway making it an ideal base but it is also not far out of town so it is great for everything that you may need.
The staff are what makes this hotel. They cannot do enough for you and really make you feel like you are being welcomed into a family home to stay with them. Any question you have for them, they will do what they can to answer it. Even if they do not know the answer then they will find it out for you.
The food in this hotel is amazing. They offer you a selection of home made local dishes. The casserole was a real favourite of mine. Like the hotel, when it arrived I didn't think much to it but once I had had a taste of it then I couldn't get enough.
The rooms are comfortable and although they are not the biggest, they are modern and have everything you could want in them.
Upon arrival at this hotel you will think that you have made a mistake. From the outside the hotel looks old and like it is about to fall down but once you cross the threshold that doesn't matter. This is a gem of a hotel and you will not want to leave.

We visited this hotel as part of a coach tour around France. It's family run and friendly and, although it looks unpromising from the outside, our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and well equipped. The hotel was let down by horrible food served as our evening meal. It was supposed to be cassoulet but resembled dried up wallpaper paste and was left by most of our group. The lack of bar was also unfortunate and although the lovely staff provided a welcome drink and nibbles it didn't really make up for not being able to buy a drink of choice (there was wine and beer available only).
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were the saving grace.

I stayed for two nights and I found a very clean and comfortable room. The position is also very useful since it has god a lot of place to park the car.
I can't say anything about breakfast because I chose to have it in the Citadel. Lady at the reception has also been very kind. This is what an average hotel should look like.

Stayed over 2 nights in 2 rooms our room had painted concrete vinyl look flooring and was pretty ordinary, air con leaked water and had a puddle on room floor, the shower hose rail was broken and couldn't hold the hand held shower hose so you had to hold it all shower so you couldn't was your hair with 2 hands, breakfast looked very poor for 10 euro would I stay again NO but it was quiet and staff where pleasant and beds where just ok

we stayed here for two nights as part of a coach tour. From the outside the hotel does not look much but inside is much better. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but perfectly clean. Rooms on the ground floor at the rear have a little patio as well. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent selection of fruit and local products such as locally made jam. The bread was lovely. On our first night the staff put on a little welcome drink and nibbles which was lovely. Evening meal were all local produce and specialities - the staff were very proud of this and keen to know what we thought. There is also an outside patio area and a library area. There is no bar as such, although the staff will happily serve you a cold drink or a beer from reception. wifi worked well. location about 2km from the Cite. The hotel does close its main door at 11 but will give you the code to access it if you arrive back after that. A good little hotel
