"Free" welcome drink costed almost like an extra night!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in mid June 2017: to be a hostel, the quality of the place is fair. It is very clean, and you get some degree of privacy because the bunk beds are separated by a thin wall (it does not reach the roof, though). You can meet some nice people at the common rooms. The staff at the reception is really kind and we appreciated that.
The kitchen is not fully equipped (only microwave and small fridge). Outside there is also a terrible noise. We woke up at 7 AM to some loud speaking people and some sort of infernally noisy machine (like a jackhammer din) they were using to work/clean right next to our window! At 8, when we finally could fall asleep again, we were woken up by the alarm from another guest that, in an unbelievably unpolite way, let it ring for 15 minutes before I was stopped by my girlfriend to go beating him and she went to kindly ask him to switch it off.
Also, we were told that we would be offered a welcome drink. Since we did not have time to take it upon arrival, the night we went back to pick our luggage (they kindly kept it for us the whole day after we checked out) we asked to the receptionist if it was possible to have it. He said yes and went to the bar to tell them that we were having it. At the bar, the girl in duty let us know straight from the beginning that she was closing at midnight (it was 11:30 PM) and did the same with everyone else. We understand she needs to go home, but there was no need to constantly remind us that, and to look impatiently at the clock while serving us. In any case, we felt free to order a glass of cider and a Margarita (which had almost no alcohol or taste). She gave us a bill before we finished our drink in order to kick us out. We were surprised because it was meant to be our welcome drink! The problem was that she did not bother to tell us from the beginning which drinks we could pick from the menu. We don't understand what the guy at the reception told her, then. There was a problem of miscommunication, which may happen, but then we were not offered the possibility to pay only the difference or any other kind of courtesy. Once we paid (almost the price of another night!), we still asked for our "free drinks" (which were supposed to be a couple of beers that she could perfectly have given us in a bottle or plastic glass to finish them in the street so she could close and leave at midnight), but she totally refused. It is not about the "free" thing, but the terrible way she managed the problem. She was really unpolite. The service at the bar was terrible for us.

What I did not like:
1. There is no hair drier
2. Weak wi-fi signal in the last room on the floor.
3. No curtain in the shower. It seems it's supposed to be used as bath only, not as shower.
What I liked:
1. Excellent location: 5 minutes to metro station and beautiful Andrassy avenue, about 10 minutes to st. Istvan bazilika. Everything you need is very close. About one hour by public transportation (bus and metro) from airport.
2. Very big room, with a balcony. Really huge as for hotel.
3. A kitchen in the room (fridge, dishwasher, stove, everything you need to cook).
4. Separated bathroom and toilet.
5. Good heating. We was there in winter, so it was important for us.
6. Huge wardrobe with many mirrors.
Cheap, clean, big space, city center: all you need!

We found this flat on booking.com. And for the price we paid we were expecting something rubbish but it was completely out of our expectation. Very clean, big rooms, great mattress, balcony, kitchen. Everything you need is there except shampoo, shower gel. The only thing that didn't work out is that we asked for the second bed and when we checked in the guy said we make the second bed for you. When we came into the flat, only one bed was done and we didn't have the sheets to make the second bed. Plus we asked for an extra towel and the lady told us they don't have extra towels ... but a part from that was excellent.

Nice comfy apartments with a nice balcony view up on the 5th floor. Friendly staff, some English-speaking. Nice onsite bar downstairs as well (open from 5pm). Towels available upon request. Main doors are key-fob activated after hours but reception staff are available on the telecom (checkouts at 11am). Good location near the city and a nice little café around the corner with friendly non-English speaking staff. Located on O Street in Budapest (Pest side).
