Just another great place to be, staff are friendly, hotel is beautiful and the view is just amazing ð the food and the bar are also amazing ð
The bedroom are clean and tidy and the rooms are big and just chelling.
Love it and will definitely be back ð

So if you didnât know this, traveling always results in some sort of adventure.
While traveling to Hungary my wallet went missing somewhere between my connecting flight in Paris and my hotel in Budapest. Sadly it wasnât until I was checking into my hotel that I realized it was gone.
Not only did the team at Marriott Budapest jump at the opportunity to help, they were able to speak to the airport and ultimately find my wallet. The team at the front desk quickly arranged travel and rejoiced with me when I returned to the hotel, wallet in hand, just a few hours after arriving.
If that wasnât enough, after returning to my room I found a note, candies and a short story from the team that assisted.
I have always been big on customer service and I must say this goes above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. A huge thank you is in order (these ladies will be receiving lots of beauty products donât worry ð) to the team at Marriott Budapest. Jenny, Andrea, and Anna are incredible and when I come back to Budapest I know exactly where I will stay thanks to them.
I am So lucky to have had these wonderful women not only assist me but make the entire experience something to laugh about. Thank you is not enough ðð½

I paid extra for the view in the hope as a Platinum Member I would FINALLY get an upgrade, but no. I might have well gone for the cheaper room and got an upgrade to the view. The Platinum Upgrade is worse than useless, you might as well remove it because it NEVER happens. I even had the app advertising I might get an upgrade, surely you must know there is none and just remove the lie. The staff, particularly Ivett S did make up for some of that (thank you for the lovely card etc), she is definitely an asset to your organisation. The room had a great view, it was rather small though (as was the TV). Talking about the TV, it was horrendous, old, horrible picture (fuzzy analog picture), screen burn with the Marriott logo so probably a plasma and you could not plug external HDMIs to watch your own stuff. The lounge was okay, snacks and drinks. The staff up there were friendly and helpful. I had the buffet downstairs for breakfast, coffee was lovely, food was cold.

You would be better off at one of the good 4 start hotels in Budapest. Marriott is an old concrete building with dark and smelly bathrooms and once your are in, don't consider yourself included. Everything is extra.
Want to watch a movie, watch a movie channel? They will charge and they charge a lot and complicate your life i the meantime. Its hard to get passed all the noise and find the TV-channels that are included.
They dont consider at done sale once you have a room. Once you are inside they want to milk you to the max.
A lot of the included ameneties was not in the room and I had to call the reception to get them delivered.
I felt cheated. 80" TV? No its 80 cm!!!
Its a 20 year old TV and there are noe premium channels included.
In the room they charge 1800 forints for a beer where an outside restaurant charges 375.
The lounge on the 9th floor is nice, but is hardly worth more than $50 pp extra that you pay for an executive room. If you get a cheap offer but the cheapest room and do the upgrade at location.
The sample food is available from 17-20. It does have wine, liquor etc from 17-22 which is nice.

The location was awesome. It was close to everything, i mean everything. The room had a good view and the view from the lounge was amazing. The breakfast was excellent as well. They missed on perfection since the staff was not as friendly as most marriotts. But overall it was a great stay and definitely would return.
