Great value for spacious rooms and lovely service

We had 2 rooms here and delighted in our time at Burnley House with Lesley and Stuart (sp?). Breakfast is very good. Rooms were super comfortable, quaint but with everything a modern traveler expects from a B&B. We enjoyed the village as well, but FYI cell service isn't great. It was a fun place to stay to explore the area.

What a lovely welcome from Lesley and Stuart.Everything you needed was provided for.The home is so comfy and cosy with open fires. We had a wide choice for breakfast and even the dogs were offered a sausage!I would definitely recommend Burnley house and look forward to returning.

Stayed for a family get away - we were met and shown straight to a cosy lounge with an open fire. A lovely surprise was tea and home made cake - very tasty!
The room was a nice size and decorated in keeping with the age of the property. Good hot, powerful shower. The breakfast is all cooked to order made from local produce.
The BnB is set in a beautiful village with good walks and a nice pub! It was about a 30 minute drive to Whitby and a great place to base yourself and explore. Definitely worth a visit and we'd all stay there again.

Stayed for one night at Burnley House. Its a beautiful location, very spacious clean room, great full english breakfast, and lovely hosts. One of the best B&B's we have stayed in. We would highly recommend Burnley House and would definitely book again.
Great stay

A really nice stay in a great home with wonderful hosts. As we had a dog with us we stayed in a room off the courtyard. The room and bathroom could not be faulted but I did miss wifi in bed, which was a frustration when planning the next days activities due to the thickness of the walls. Wifi was available in the lounge and dinning room though.
Parking was in the courtyard, which would be a bit of a squeeze if all the rooms were taken but it was fine for our visit.
I really can't recommend this place enough and can see why it is so highly rated. Go stay and enjoy but bring a torch if you intend to walk to the pub at night. It might be only a very short walk away but darkness has a whole new meaning up here.
