We stayed at the Campanile Carcassonne Est hotel for two nights in September. The whole experience was superb and was excellent value for money.
We have stayed in Campenile hotels for many years and generally find them clean and functional and generally a cut above other budget hotels. However, this particular Campanile is a cut above the norm. In fact I have stayed in 4* hotels which have not really compared.
We arrived late at night and the night porter was polite and helpful, even getting us drinks from the bar. Unheard of in any other Campanile or other budget hotel I have visited before. Our bags were carried to our rooms. The hotel is a new building with lift and everything in the same building, as well as a 24 hour reception and bar. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one night and two breakfasts. Both were excellent in particular the dinner that was good quality and value. The breakfast at 9,90⬠was perhaps a little pricey, but fresh and tasty.
The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and the linen was soft and clean. Whilst I am sure this is subjective, the pillows were too soft for my taste, but I am sure they would have replaced them had I have asked. The air conditioning was good and efficient.
Big thank you, to all the staff who were friendly and polite and couldnât do enough to help. We are returning to Carcassonne shortly and will be staying again! Would highly recommend.

The room was clean EXCEPT for the dirty, stained, spotted and nearly worn out carpet. I looked in several rooms and the carpet was similar in all of them. The rooms are terribly tiny, there is no chair, instead there is a wooden bench. The bed is comfortable, the pillows have seen better days. The people were very nice. The lobby was attractive but the exterior of,the building was full of trash. The parking lot is fenced and the gate locked at 10:30. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the medieval city. It is located amoung store. The bathroom is a good size, there is a built in small desk and a small tv. I was told,that all the rooms are the same. Did not eat here. There is a swimming pool, but it's October so,we didn't use. It. This is very much a like a college dorm room, spare, sparse, and functional.

Stay8ng here whilst researching a local manor house. Very clean and modern.
Dinner was very nice and reasonable 2 courses for â¬17
Breakfast buffet style hot and cold very good quality. Good heated outside pool too
Friendly helpful staff £103 for a 2 night stay I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really nice for 3 star. Stayed a couple of nights to see family. Nice terrace. Staff helpful and room adequate. Lovely and clean and reasonable price for food and drink. Even a little pool area. Nice location. Not great views but near the attractions and shops. Would stay again.

This Campanile was a proper hotel with everything in one building. It sported a swimming pool and sun terrace. Our room was lovely as was the breakfast and dinner. The receptionist was very helpful and suggested how we could spend our day in Carcassonne. We followed his advice and had a fantastic day. It is very easy to find and was in a quiet location.
