What People are saying

Ca'n Isabel

RogerLSolihull on 14/10/2017 17:36

This is a great place to stay ; it is a lovely old traditional building and you have everything you need. Breakfast is very nice and taken in the lovely rear garden. You have to park a 10 minute walk away but we found this no great hassle - because the important thing is
Ca'n Isabel's location - just round the corner and 3 minutes walk from the main square.

Soller is a stunning area with lots to do, and this is a reasonably priced base from which to do it

Mixed Feelings

BettyBoopTeesside on 18/09/2017 12:29

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last week and I have to say we have very mixed feelings as there are some great things about this hotel and also negatives in our view.
Let's start with the positives. Questions via email reasoned to quickly by Catherine prior to our arrival. Beautiful building nicely furnished in typical Spanish furniture and beautiful tiles etc. Lovely enclosed back garden where breakfast is served. Our room,The Terrace was very nice and bathroom good size having bath and shower.
The breakfast was great served almost like an afternoon tea style with a variety of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt , fresh bread and eggs served in whatever style required. The lady who served breakfast was extremely friendly although her understanding of English language was very limited and this did cause difficulties when asking for extra coffee or similar at breakfast. We arrived on a morning and met by Catherine who explained that our room wasn't quite ready but we were welcome to leave our cases and explore Soller. Within an hour we were in our room and very pleased with it. The terrace is large and has a wall all around so no view but a great space. Tiny table provided which really could have been a bit larger on such a big terrace but 2 chairs and sun beds which are a great touch. 2 plants on terrace which appeared dead with leaves all over and no attempt seems to have been made to brush the terrace prior to our arrival. We felt that the terrace could have been made to look a bit prettier and welcoming.
We stayed 4 nights and never saw anybody on reception again during our stay, even on a morning. By the third day no toiletries had been replaced when the room was cleaned so I ended up having to email Catherine to ask about ordering a taxi for our departure and asking for some toiletries as nothing had been replaced! I received no reply. We were now feeling quite let down and ended up trying to explain to the lady serving breakfast about toiletries and ordering a taxi which was very difficult and I have to say she did her best and took our payment and said she would order the taxi for us. At last some toiletries were left in our room after 3 days! By the morning of our departure we still had seen nobody on reception even on a morning and never received a response to my email and a taxi to take us to the airport never arrived. We walked in to the square and found one ourselves. To sum up our stay we feel frustrated as such a beautiful hotel in a fantastic although quite noisy location what is the drawback of being so close to the train and centre. It's the small things that let it down in our option which is always very frustrating.
I emailed Catherine again when I got home to explain on what points we felt let down and never got a response.

Excellent place to relax and stay.

This small hotel is an absolute delight and has many lovely period features of a traditional Spanish home. All the guests at the hotel were happy.

The hotel is nicely located just off the centre of Soller Square.

The rooms we had were of ample proportions.

Place was kept spotlessly clean.

A large breakfast was continental style.

There are no lifts in the hotel.

The spiral stairs to both our apartment and also the roof terrace were narrow. People who have difficulty in either walking or who are of a larger build may find the stairs difficult to navigate.

I would recommend that anyone staying at the hotel gets an external door code, prior to arriving at the hotel, as the reception is not fully manned, generally there was no one on the desk from mid afternoon until the following day.

Would I recommend that people stay at this hotel - a definite yes, as it is a lovely place to stay and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Lovely boutique hotel

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful little hotel for five nights. Our room was amazing with a spiral staircase up to a large bathroom with separate shower and a very large bedroom. We also had our very own private roof terrace up another spiral staircase, which was a bonus, where we people-watched as it overlooks the tram terminal. Breakfasts were lovely, fruit, home made yoghurt, croissants, bread, cheeses and cooked meats, served with a smile outside in the lovely garden by Flore.

First class small hotel
The breakfast was really nice and always served with a smile from Flor she is a star !
We had the terrace room which was very nicely furnished and the large sun terrace was a boost.
I would have no hesitation in saying that the location of the hotel is great, a few moments walk to centre of town
