Tucked into the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees, Can Serola offers a level of tranquility and understated sophistication that makes it genuinely unique. The natural beauty of the setting is matched by the host Gilbert's eye for interior design, combining
comfort with an imaginative choice of furnishings, all set against a colour palette that bathes each room with warmth. We stayed in the Indian suite, a commodious suite with an excellent bathroom, and outdoor courtyard. The property is so well configured, we often felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Can Serolat is an excellent base from which to explore such beautiful coastal towns as Cadaques and Begur, and is just minutes away from the medieval delights of Besalu and the surprisingly charming town of Olot. Trust Gilbert's immaculate taste to guide you to the many culinary delights offered by restaurants in the region, however, when he offers to cook, don't miss the opportunity of eating his exceptional food.
Finally, the value is exceptional. Can Serola offers luxury at an affordable price.

We were on holiday from Australia and chose to go off the beaten track during the August high season, and had no regrets. Can Serola was excellent and Gilbert's hospitality was notable. The house is beautiful, we stayed in the African room which was wonderful and spacious. We also enjoyed the degustation meal twice and were very impressed with the food, particularly the duck. Besalu is a real gem and less than 10 minutes drive away. It is essential to have a car if you visit Can serola as it would be a shame to miss seeing the beautiful countryside of the Garrotxa, plus dinner is only available twice a week, so you need to drive somewhere for dinner on the other nights. We had an excellent meal in Besalu at Pont Vell. The Can Serola experience was a very different type of holiday for us and most definitely a very special memory. Many thanks.

It is so beautiful, that while there, we were talking when can we come back again. From the moment we arrived,until the moment we left it was faultless. Even our dogs were mesmerised and didn't wanted to leave :)
Which is no wonder, as so much love and dedication is put into it by its owner and his personnel.

Incredible place in a beautiful setting and AMAZING hosts. From the moment we arrived, Gilbert and Melissa made us feel like at home. Excellent tips for dinning and sightseeing we're a plus. The room was extremely nice and clean and the surroundings were extraordinary. The "Masia" itself is beautiful and the decoration is superb. One of the finest places we've been in Spain. Will CERTAINLY come back!

We spent two nights at Can Serola this summer and everything about it was perfect from the lovely welcome from Gilbert to the gorgeous accommodation to the top notch breakfasts and dinners. The bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas are all superbly artistic and comfortable and we made good use of the excellent pool. We were in the African room and adored the decor and the wonderful views. Gilbert was the perfect host, friendly and generous, and we would love to return one day. Thank you Gilbert.
