We booked a studio apartment for two people. When we arrived. She could see we were both using canes so told us she would upgrade us at no extra cost to a one bedroom end apartment with no steps. The apartment was amazing and had a wonderful seaview.
I cannot fault these apartments and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even put some birds of paradise flowers in our room when they knew I wasn't feeling very we'll.
I thoroughly recommend these apartments.

The Housekeeper, Diomira was really helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and beds comfy, the pillows too (once we asked for an exchange!) We had a view of the sea from our balcony. The distance to Funchal by car was also not far, so easily accessible. Plenty of restaurants nearby to chose from and a nice promenade for an evening stroll.
However, even though I know it's budget accommodation, and in our studio anyway, I feel they could really do with a little investing, especially with the bed linen, frayed sheets really should be recycled! The immersion is small so showers are short, and I resorted to washing my hair separately. It reheats quickly though. The overall temperature of the room wasn't particularly warm, but good for sleeping in!

Pros - stayed in room 5. Walk out onto sunny terrace with sunbeds and a plunge pool.
Met by friendly English speaking cleaner/rep who looked after my luggage.
On the beach
Room is very large for the price with a kitchenette, TV and bath/shower.
Plenty of storage.
Sun facing. Sea views.
Cons - no air con.
Carpet a little threadbare.
Pool is a bit small...
I wasn't expecting a lot but the room was clean, comfortable and very large for the price. Is tucked away in a quiet area but there are local restaurants a spar supermarket on the doorstep and a lovely walk along the coast with dive schools close by.
Not sure I could have asked for more for the price I'll stay here again.

Appropriate for families.
Good value for money.
Variety of Restaurants and bares In the area.
Daily cleaning
Bus stop to Funchal next to the resort.
My daughter just loved the swimming pool!

Was not to impressed with the place, no one there when we arrived.
Yes there was a note on the reception door, we thought maybe siesta time.
After about 10 minutes read the fine print,(really small)and said the key would be under the door mat. Another couple arrived and did not read the fine print also.
Not all things were inn the apartment as promised, like a coffee maker and Toaster, the kitchen utensils were very limited.
Nothing in the cupboards like salt,pepper, dish soap, when you stay there for a week it is a lot to buy all the staples.
The cleaning lady was fabulous, and made our stay some how a little more peasant.
She arranged for a taxi to the airport for us.
