Quaint gem of a place near Candolim beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casablanca and am happy to recommend this quaint and value for money hotel very close to the buzzing Candolim beach.
The rooms are basic and simple and the breakfast is quite decent.
Location is a huge plus for this place.
For the reasonable tarrif charged by the hotel, I think it's fantastic value for money.
Recommended for group of friends out on a budget trip to Goa!

I booked this hotel based on the good reviews on trip advisor and I was massively disappointed.
I have to excuse Jerry from the below listed problems (at reception) who was the only good thing I encountered at this hotel. He upgraded my 2 rooms for suites and so it started off great & he was always helpful.
Location is close to the beach.
Problems
When we got dropped off at the hotel I realised that the hotel was not at a main Rd location and therefore it felt very unclassy coz it looks like itâs located in an alleyway. Overall you get the feeling that the hotel is rundown straight from the off and the rooms are a good size but dated.
Ran out of hot water in the middle of a shower TWICE and had to call reception to make them even realise at which point it takes 15mins to get hot water again. They need to be more proactive than reactive!
The electricity kept going and therefore the AC wouldnât work.
The WiFi is only available at the restaurant and the mobile phone reception at the hotel is atrocious too.
I got told off by someone at the hotel restaurant for not finishing my food! (Hotel did take action and he apologised after I complained).
There was a taxi strike for 3 days and the hotel wanted to charge me 5000 rupees for Airport transport even though it clearly states that they only charge 1800 normally but they wanted to take advantage of my predicament instead of helping.
When you ring room service they often take an age to get someone to your room and you have to ring again.
Goa is nice if you like a beach holiday but rest assured I will not be coming back to this hotel again! A poor experience to say the least!!
Ideal location, close to the beach and the main road

Have stayed here a few times and still very good value for money, breakfast is good and the swimming pool is very quiet in the morning.
However the sunbeds still need updating and the parasols were missing, after my review last year got the following reply
"We hope that you will notice more exciting improvements at the resort on your next visit and sincerely look forward to welcoming you back" from Sheldon Dâsouza but didn't see any obvious evidence.

The location of hotel is great.I find it the best location in goa.Candolim beach is just a walk away and all other tourist spots are easily reachable from here. The scooty or car renting shops are just besides the hotel so one can easily rent and go out for exploring goa.The rooms are also good with excellent swimming pool and food was also nice.
Budget Hotel not resort

Its a budget hotel not a resort. Rooms are very basic with no proper almirah, double bed was very uncomfortable like a cot. No wifi inside the room only in common area which doesn't have enough browsing speed.
Bathrooms are in bad conditions. Unhygienic blankets. I was getting dharamshala kind of feeling. I stayed here from 27th Nov, 2017 to 29th Nov, 2017. Room type - Terrace room on 2nd floor.
I requested them to change my room but they denied to do so.
Less variety in breakfast buffet but taste is good. Restaurant guy Jaffar was so kind.
Only 700 m far from the Candolim beach 5-7 minutes walk able distance from the hotel. Location is good and peaceful compare to crowdy Calangute.
Not very impressive. Better options are available in the same price.
