I stayed here for 4 nights in a twin room. The room was clean and simple with free wifi. The only thing lacking from the room was no mirror and there was no fan or air con however this was not needed with the weather. There are two showers and two toilets which are clean with warm water. The staff were very friendly and helped us book a taxi to the coach station. There are a lot of stairs to climb to reach this hostel however the staff helped us carry our suitcases.

We rented the apartment which is located on another building. As mentioned in the other review, there is no elevator and you need to carry your suitcase along 4 levels of stairs, which is not a big problem for us. The corridor of the apartment is a bit dark and chilly, full of graffitis.
The room itself looks like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time (found plenty of dusts in the corners and below the bed). Could be better, but for this price you can't really expect the quality of a hotel (therefore 3 stars instead of 1).

We stayed there before and we were satisfied. It is a great value - cheap and very central. We went back there this year and I must say we were a little bit disappointed. We have arrived around 2 am (having previously advised the hostel of our arrival time - which was not a problem to them), and having climbed a lot (!!!) of stairs with our luggage, we were told that we won't be staying in this actual building. We were given a pair of keys and directions to our apartment. The apartment wasn't far (about 5 mins walk) but still, this is not what you want and expect to do at this time of the night. Especially that we've stayed there before and we didn't have to go anywhere else. I also felt that the cleaning standards have dropped a little.. Maybe the main building is being looked after a little bit better?
Having said that, the locations is very very good and the place is worth the price, so I would stay there again but keep in mind that you might be asked to go to another address nearby..

We stayed outside the main hostel in one of their private apartments. The room was very clean and had free wifi. When checking in to the main building there is no lift, great for backpackers but not for those with cases - however there is a lift in the private apartment which helps.
Breakfast was not anything fancy - toast and coffee but it's something to set you up for the day. The woman who runs the hostel is very friendly and has lots of local knowledge. Ask her about the baths and she can give you special entry :)

Stayed here for one night recently. The Hostel is set in the middle of the action in a busy part of Budapest. There are shops, bars and restaurants everywhere so you are spoilt for choice. The hostel is accessed by telecom and it would be hard to miss the door if you weren't paying attention. The place is clean and tidy and the room I stayed in only had three beds, so it was quite private. Nice big and clean bathroom and a couple of toilets. Breakfast consisted of toast, coffee and cereals.
At the end of the day, it was a nice place to come back to lie on your bed reading a book with the windows open listening to the noise of the city from outside
