Ghost Hotel

This cannot be classified as a hotel. I booked this hotel thru Goibibo when I reach hotel reception at 11 PM they asked no room is available after waiting half an hour with my wife and 02 kids they give us room. Room was not clean; the sheet was dirty there is no hygiene in the room and 'free flow' of cockroaches. The toilet is dirty and it seems like nobody is cleaning the toilet no water, shower out of order, no hot water after request give us one bucket of hot water charging amt Rs 200
Worse night ever spent in hotel, stay away, it's depressing to be here Don't ever stay in this hotel Unfriendly staff, in mooring I order tea at 6 AM but serve around 7:15 AM, Never been at such an unfriendly and dirty "hotel" as this! Even small lodges in small Indian villages are better then this Never ever THINK about to stay

A few firsts !

Arrived and it took an army (at least three) people to register us. We unpacked for our two night stay, admired the lovely pool through the grimy window and went down to the bar which was closed, in fact a couple of letters from its name were missing so it was obvious it'd be closed for some time. This is a huge hotel near the airport and we expected a place which caters to international business travellers. We went to the cafe for the buffet dinner which was the only option. We were served bland lentil soup which was luke warm and one of our bowls was chipped. The rest of the buffet was rather what we'd come to expect from cheapish restaurants but the real surprise was that there was little spice or flavour. And NO ALCOHOL because they have no licence. Now this may seem like a small matter but this hotel is near the airport, we couldn't exactly wander down to the nearest bar, or off licence. The nearest hotel was a few minutes drive away. When I passed the desk on the way to the restaurant I asked them to supply bottled water (first time in five weeks and about 20 hotels that bottled water was not routinely in the room) and asked if our supply of only two bath towels was normal and whether we could have two hand towels as well please. After a short and uninspiring meal we returned to our room and there was neither water nor towel. I went back down four floors to ask them and they assured me that they'd be on the way. 45 minutes I returned and the first guy I'd asked came over and said "water and towels?" I said no, he picked up the phone and shouted at someone at the other end - actually, there were no gaps in the shouting so it has occurred to me that the whole thing might have been a bit of theatre. I offered to wait and take them at the desk, he begged me to return to my room with assurances.....40 minutes later I was down again with the people behind the desk looking astonished and asked me to return to my.... I am afraid I lost it and said NO. I will wait here and proceeded to pace as annoyingly as I could until sometime later a man arrived with two bottles. In the meantime my husband was struggling witht he wifi. Breakfast was what we'd come to expect and good except I was offered tea in a not clean and chipped cup. We returned to the hotel in the early afternoon for an important Skype meeting and the wifi broke down completely. Meeting was a fiasco. The following day we fled, not taking our prepaid breakfast. Could not leave quickly enough

Happily Suprised

Since the reviews were so bad, I expected something terrible. I arrived at 11:30pm with a large group, and we were very happy with the accommodations. They were clean, we were served kindly, and were overall very happy with the cost/service/cleanliness ratio.

Wtf? Hotel? It's a joke and scam!

Cancelled flight. Was booked to this concrete dinosaur by Air India.

Happy from the beginning. 5 star sounds good. But they told me a lie at the airport....it was maybe a five star back in 1971.

Looks like something from old Russia. Dirty facade and shabby garden.

A non working metal detector in the entrance where the guard forced us to walk through .y

The lobby is cool. I think Kim Jong Un would be impressed. Feels like North Korea.

The procedure at the desk was a joke. All by hand. No computers and a lot of document to fill in. Maybe I bought it? Took over one hour to get the room,

The room was sort of ok. I can't say it's the worst I slept in but far away from a five star. I give it 2. Wifi is distributed by a 14.4 modem from 1994 that is shared by everyone.

The food in the restaurant is a story for itself.

I asked for the menu. It never came. The stupid man that served me told me he could arrange Biryani. Hey....I don't want biryani . I want to see the menu. He nodded he's head and told me he could fix biryani with or without chicken. And a youghurt for the inconvenience that he only could offer biryani....

The food arrived. Biryani is ok. Raita youghurt was ok. Not better than an biryani in the canteen in school but hey....it's at least food.

Asked for sparkling water. No. it was not possible. Asked for a soft drink . No it was not possible. After a while he arrived with a glas of sparkling water. Half warm. And grey.

He asked me to take a sip , it tasted like xxx I smiled and said it was ok just to get rid of him. A five star hotel that produce their own sparkling water in a soda machine. In Delhi....feels great. Just to wait for the Delhi belly!

I wanted to eat my food alone. But this man standing beside me and talking and asking me lots of questions all the time. Disturbing .

Wanted to change some money at the desk. They have a exchange rate info at the wall with the rates. But not working. They don't have permission to change said the desk guy. Once again....a five star ...haha.

The hotel has not seem maintenance since it opened.

Fawlty Tower is superb comparing to this.

Will I return? No way!

I can recommend you to stay here, just for one reason, you will never ever again have a place to stay that is worse than this. It's on a travelers bucket list to stay here. You will always win in discussions about bad experiences of hotels between your friends.

How the heck can it be legal to destroy a place like this? It should be taken over by Marriott or something. Just blow out everything and start over again. This is a mystery and a lesson how government runs business.

A business idea to arrange tours to this place. Catastrophic adventures!

Old hotel trying to make a comeback

This was once a splendid hotel that has degraded over time. Efforts to improve mean there are some superb rooms and some awful ones. We were a group - a friend and I stayed in a lovely first class room that was clean and very comfortable with all expected amenities. My friends stayed in a room they refused to use the kettle in and had cockroaches. Hotel is close to the airport, which makes it convenient. Shuttle bus just outside the hotel grounds.
