We had such a warm welcome upon entering the hotel, such genuinely pleasant and lovely staff. The lobby is beautiful, cosy and warm and that followed upstairs into our room with pretty unique furnishings.
We were lucky and had a room on the 4th floor which had stunning views and windows that wrapped around the room. Really made the trip to have that view to wake up to every morning. The rooms are quite small, so maybe ask for a large room if you have many suitcases. The bathroom is nice as well, though some of the interiors you can tell are ageing a bit so are due for a touch up, but it still doesn't impact the lovely stay we had.
The room is well heated, which is great for in the of winter!
If you're super social, there's lots of gathering areas on the ground floor to hang out and drink. There is also easy access to the restaurant.

Great place to stay. Booked last minute, and was happy to end up in such good accommodations. Met with hot chocolate at the reception desk, and got a lot of help from the staff on last minute activities for the next day. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a large bed and big couch/sofa as well as bathroom and closet with desk. Big windows to let the light in covered in long tassels for privacy, or black out curtains to make things cosy in the room. Breakfast at the downstairs restaurant is included, this is a really decent spread of Icelandic and other common western breakfast foods.
I loved staying here and would recommend it if it's in your price range. It was a great place to stay!

Great location in the middle of Reykjavik. Good breakfast and helpful staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. We enjoyed our stay at CenterHotel Thingholt and would not mind a second visit to this hotel.

I would like to tell you how wonderful our stay was. I was most impressed by your Hotel Staff. The front desk were professional
and very personal. This included every Shift from Feb. 1 to Feb 5. We had several cancelations and in minutes they contacted
our tour company and changed our plans. They made dinner reservations and changed dinner reservations. They offered many suggestions about the hotel and the town of Reykjavik. The hotel house staff was great, our room was extremely clean. The Breakfast stall was very efficient. They had the buffet filled at all times and the breakfast was delicious.. We have friends going to Reykjavik and I will definitely recommend your Hotel

We stayed at CenterHotel Thingholt for a quick weekend getaway. The hotel is in the centre of Reykjavik, perfect location for bars, restaurants & shops. The transfer bus from the Airport drops you about 100mtrs from the Hotel itself but this what no problem at all for us. On walking into the hotel you are immediately impressed with the modern cozy decor and we were met by 2 lovely girls on reception who could not do enough for us, even sorting a problem with a tour we had booked through another company. After a swift check in we opted to eat in the hotels own restaurant Isafold. The restaurant is small & cozy, the food was amazing as was the service. prices in hotel were pretty reasonable compared to many other places in the city. The room itself although small was very nice and perfectly clean. We arrived back at the hotel after a tour on the Saturday night to find there was a very loud bar just down the road from the Hotel, by this point it was 2am and the receptionist advised it goes on until around 4am. Luckily our room was on the opposite side and did not affect us but there were guests at the desk pleading to be moved to a quieter room away from the bar. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection of cold meats, pastries, fresh fruit and a small selection of hot... i say hot it was barely warm, egg,bacon & sausage but there was plenty of other things on offer.
I would stay again for sure.
