My review is coming a bit late than the stay but the place is worth a stay!
Away from the noise of kalpetta, Chateau woods is located close 20kms away from kalpetta in the Choormala region of Wayanad.
Even though reaching out to this is place quite a task as it is located off the main road, but everything just takes a back seat once you enter the property. The property is located right in the middle of tea estates and is surrounded by an excellent view from every side.
We stayed in one of the cliff cottages which are located separately from the main building. These cottages are excellently maintained and clean to the mark. Since these cottages are surrounded by tea estates and forests on different sides it is imperative to keep your doors and windows closed at all times to prevent insects from crawling and flying in!
The food was good considering they had to plan it well in advance since the property is located far off from the nearest market. That is also the reason why we were confined to stay in after dark as the connecting way to the main roads was extremely narrow, dangerous and without any lights. But the silence inside the resort made up for everything we missed on being outside it.
A perfect weekend spot if you are in for a peaceful one!

Google maps take you here without any miss. away from city. we stayed in cliff cottage and got our parents in the luxury villa. nice view from either of rooms. There are only 7-8 rooms in total, so this is an added advantage.
Clean rooms, service boys - Subhash, Prince, Manu and remaining staff - all were very prompt and serviced us without delays.
The cook prepared amazing food of our choice, customized to our needs 100%. this makes us feel special, as if we are at home. you have to order in advance, as they don't stock excess raw materials, they get it fresh from city daily (which is like 15 kms away)
the manager also treated us warmly. Full points due this amazing staff the hotel has!
Hope they don't lose the staff!

The drive to the hotel will set the tone for the place ..
The road bringing you to the place is a single road . You drive through a magical green mountain slopes filled with trees and Tea Plantations ..
It is easy to get here following the Google maps .
The rooms are clean and well maintained . All the rooms have the view of the plantations .
There is a lot of options for entertainments such as a pool table, carom Board , fuse ball e.t.c
The chef cooks up what you want and the service staff is also very smoky and friendly
Over all a very peaceful and warm experience

I stayed here with my family for two days in the cliff cottage. Manager Henna, helped me out with the bookings. Now about the resort... we had an amazing experience, the view from the cliff cottage was simply superb, we had a view of the Soojipara water falls from our cottage. During our stay the manager at the resort Mr. Mani was very helpful and the staffs was very courteous. The service was really good. There is a small swimming pool, a fish pond, pet farm, swing, and indoor games. The food was good, in terms of taste they could improve a little more. Our stay was an amazing experience. Thank you Henna, Mani and all the staffs out there.

Cliff cottage was a great experience altogether. Little scary at night but worth trying
