I have stayed here before so i know the parking issues but managed to arrive when the pay and display is in force and there are spaces!! Off to my room on 3rd floor it makes me smile to have the quirky sloping floor and the room was a bit chilly. No problem turned the heat up and it was soon toasty. I had booked an evening meal and when i checked in was told they had a large party so all i did was went down 15 m8nutes earlier. The staff were so friendly and heloful they made my meal more enjoyable. I had a main and dessert the first night and initially was disappointed at having no vegetables with my pork beside the mash. However i was glad i didnt because having had dessert the most amzing pistachio ice cream i left the table comfortably full but not fit to burst a really nice feeling. The large party were seated at this time but it did not impact my service levels at all. Breakfast the next morning is always a treat one of the few hotels that still cooks fresh to order. Lovely poached eggs my only personal prefernce is that the toast comes out too early and is cold when i want to wat it. But if id thought about it i dare say asking for it later wouldnt be a problem. Food on second night was equally good if not better chicken fest satay starter with one of the freshest refreshing salads followed by a stuffed breast with a gorgeous shallot and white wine sauce and proper roast potatoes. Again no veg but i couldn't eat all i had been given!! It was delicious. Again allserved and ordered within 40 minutes despite having the large party seated around the same time. Room was still warm and cosy more (different) biccies for my tea. Love the fact the bathrooms have the two shower options. I ofetn like a soak in the bath at night and wash my hair wth the handshower but love a refreshing shower first thing. My only niggle is the size if the TV it is so tiny i couldnt read the details amd nowadays you probably expect a 21+ inch screen but im nit picking. Thank you all for looking after me so well amd i have already booked my next stay enough said.

Got woken up in the middle of the night to tell me that my air conditioner was keeping my neighbors awake. My air con wasn't even on so I was quite angry.
The breakfast buffet is quite good but I would rather eat out than here. The building is obviously historic but the inside could do with a refurbishment including the rooms. Some holes in the carpet and dirty tiles etc left much room for improvement.

Stayed for 1 night meeting family. Turned up early but dumping bags no problem and they let us in the room early. Room was quite small and dated but served the purpose, and had a side sea view. Nice shower though.
Staff were great as was the breakfast. Sea front hotel accommodation for £75? Iâd stay again.

Room looked tired and in need of redecoration. Floorboards very squeaky , old building but even so my nights sleep was extremely poor due to the above room and the resident pacing every hour!
TV on the wall but a good distance from the bed and only a small screen.
Room not all that warm and thin blankets.
Bathroom had no blind and it was facing into the bus depot so I did feel a little on show when you had the light on in the evening.

Thinking about it, the pictures on the internet look amazing. And the rooms say refurbished. Trading standards (my mother works for them) need to be called as she said its very bad advertising.
I must say the manager deals with you well. But feel sorry for her!!!
