This restaurant is in ParkRoyal hotel, and the location is off the center of town. However,worth getting to as the food is really quite good. I would recommend you try the fiery slice fish sichuan style and the fried (thin) noodles. Staff attention somewhat average. Ambience nice and warm. Would repeat visit.

So I come from a very reasonable country where food is very cheap and there will sometimes be complimentary drinks.
We sat down with 3 bowls of unknown pickle and A cup of tea in front of us, must be a welcoming place... They did ask if we wanted tea, to which my wife said thanks sounds lovely...
We had 2 simple mains, a beer an 2 juices. I was expecting a reasonable bill as it's a fancy Restuarant. Bill came and it was way higher. Turns out the Tea is S$6 each and pickles S$5! Still have no idea what the pickles where or are?
Look I don't expect it to be like my county where for their prices you can get a 5 course tasting menu from a renowned chef, but I also don't expect hidden costs sneakily added to the bill...
Ruined a perfectly good meal...

they have one of the best chongqing spicy fried chicken in sg. Surprisingly the restaurant wasn't very packed on a Saturday afternoon which makes it an excellent place for our young and rowdy family. Definitely going back!

In this restaurant you can choose the buffet or the menu, I opted for the second, for I wanted quality instead of quantity. The dish I chose was a simple chicken/rice/consommé combination, letâs avoid complicated recipes: the chicken was almost cold and raw, rice normal boiled rice, consommé just a cup of hot water. All this for 28 SGP dollars. Service is cold and impersonal. What happened that night in the kitchen? My advice is: cross the road and choose one of the different Arabic/Turkish/Lebanese restaurant of the Arab district: much much better.

Ma Laht - that wonderful combination of spice that characterizes authentic Si Chuan food is here in abundance.
The dishes were spicy and exactly as you want them if you are a true lover of Si Chuan food. The MaPoDoFu and Gan Bian Si Ji Dou were excellent, as was the chicken.
Much to recommend - but its as close to authentic Si Chuan as one can find outside of SiChuan - so be prepared!
