I didn't know what to expect from reading the mixed reviews here. I was pleasantly surprised with pop rooms. The only downside I found was havin to meet the staff member at another location, would of been more convenient for them to send us the address closer to accom. The room was a double room, very spacious, bright and comfortable bed. Didn't have any noise issues. Kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment to cook meals. Even though shared toilet I never had to queue. Staff member was friendly and helpful offering advice about the city. I Would recommend this place.

We were not pleased with our stay! Extremely thin walls, very small and dark room. Overprized. Will never go there again. Felt like sleeping in a box. Extremely bad experiance. Have stayed at many hostals in Bcn and this was the worst one ever.

Very friendly and patient staff. AMAZING location in the center of Barcelona. Very close to the place Catalunya and the main street la Rambla. Good value apartment, cheap price! I've been in Barcelona twice, but when I will come back will stay here for sure!

Stayed here 14th to 18th November 2016, met the staff member at hard rock cafe on placa catalunya and poprooms is a minutes walk away off la rambla. travelled as a couple but room we were given had a single bed and a bunk bed but we made do with the single bed and informed the staff next morning and were quickly moved to a double. the location off the rambla is fantastic and placa catalunya on your doorstep which gets you to everywhere in barcelona. place was spotless and all amenities for self catering there. would rate this place higher but for the bathroom. we were ok as it was november and quiet but would be quite awkward when busy as only one toilet which is in the same room as shower but would stay here again.

I would only stay here again if it was for a short length of time such as a long weekend. The rooms are clean and spacious but not very comfortable, there is no air conditioning and our room only had one interior window. The location is the best part of this hostel. There are two metro stations nearby and the ramblas is only two minutes away. There aren't many restaurants nearby unless you want to pay ramblas prices. We didn't have a problem with getting picked up by the staff in the meeting place maybe this was because we used a Spanish mobile and spoke Spanish which made it easier, although the place was easy to find so maybe suggest meeting outside rather than at the Hard Rock Cafe? Overall we had a good stay here.
