Amazing stay at the Clontarf castle hotel, rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. Restaurant and bar served excellent food. Staff were very friendly. A very unique hotel. Would definitely go back

I stayed at the Clontarf for my honeymoon and it was fantastic. When we arrived, we found a towel sculpture and rose petals, along with some treats, to welcome us and celebrate our honeymoon. Dinner at the bar was great and we really enjoyed the live music. The breakfast buffet is 100% worth the cost. It is 20 euros and is the best buffet I've ever been to, with great service and lots of options for individuals with different dietary restrictions.

Clontarf Castle is a stunning place to stay on a weekend break to Dublin especially if you want some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
Clontarf is a lovely area just outside of Dublin City centre with easy transport links back to the city.
The hotel rooms are beautiful.. big comfy beds... lovely facilities and super clean and relaxing.
The bar and dining areas are great.. lovely bar food and a great friendly Irish atmosphere.
I would highly reccomend this hotel for a lovely weekend break where you can access the city but also enjoy some quiet relaxation time!

Clontarf Castle Hotel captures your attention from the moment you arrive to the parking lot. An old castle renovated to give you all the comfort and glamour of a great hotel experience.
The highlights from the hotel are definitely the staff and the food. Staff will go beyond to make sure your needs are fulfilled, being proactive and kind, at all times. This was also one of the first times that I really enjoyed room service food.
On the hotel itself you have a pub and a restaurant. Even if they're part of the hotel, you do not perceive any noise in the room area. The restaurant itself serves great food with a very efficient service. As I went around 18.30 I also got the early bird discount, which is a great deal for food of this quality.
By the way, the breakfast is perfect. I had awful breakfasts in Dublin hotels before and was amazed with the quality of this one, by comparison.
The only con for me was really the location. I had no time to study the public transportation, thus using taxi for the other side of the river meant facing the crazy traffic of Dublin. Of course, the hotel is not to blame but the poor traffic planning the city faces.

We had a beautiful afternoon tea on Sunday with my 81yr old Mother, my sister and my 3 daughters. We were seated in front of the beautiful fireplace and the table setting was very pretty, everything about our tea was fantastic. We were served by Mandy who couldn't have been more helpful and was well versed on all the special teas and food. We had a great time and will return.
