We stayed for two nights from 12-14 January 2018. Excellent floating 1 BR with lovely wooden interior. Only problem is draining system of toilets ð½. It overflows and that is very dirty thing.
Chef Pankaj Thakur and Rahul were excellent. They really took good care of my kids choice food. We wish them all the very best. Excellent place to stay.
Fun zone activity was very limited and needs improvement.

Great location. Stayed in floating 1BR. Only view from room is lake and few Chinese fishing nets. What a place to relax! Only water ripples will disturb you. Sometimes rooms seems that its drifting ( a very minor sometimes experience) but its not. Cottages are very nicely anchored. Rooms have full privacy and staff are helpful.
Chef Pankaj Thakur is superman. Always at your service. Can cook anything of the world for you. A thorough gentleman with international exposure. An asset for club Mahindra.
HK is prompt ad helpful.
Fun zone is disaster. Nothing much to do.
Perfect place to relax for 2-3 days. Nothing much for sight seeing but perfect place to rejuvenate and enjoy peace of life.
Once in a lifetime a must visit property ( if staying in 1BR).

Location of the resort is very good and there much famed floating cottages live up to there reputation... it is a very unique experience. I must say that the bathrooms of these cottages are not up to gold crown resort reputation. There taps are rusted and hard to operate.
Food is average in taste, spread nothing great about it. A word of caution if u are a vegetarian and staying for more than 2days u will get bugged up with the same buffet menu. They hardly have any change in the menu. Plz donât opt for there buffet packages as it turns out to be very expensive if ur not a great eater.
In spite of few let downs I must say this is a very unique and one of a kind resort.

If there is a place you are looking for to completely relax and rejuvenate then don't look beyond Club Mahindra Ashtamudi.
Book yourself into one of their floating apartment, wake up to the gentle sounds of soft waves lapping against your deck that gently rock your cabin. Take in the magnificient sunrise as it appears from behind the palm trees lining the shore as far as the eyes can see.
Treat yourself to a sumptuous breakfast in the company of perhaps the best staff that club Mahindra has across the country.
Book a boat house cruise in the morning or for dinner by candle light complete with a chef on board and serving crew.
It has the small Fun zone area but the towering and jovial personality of actvity manager Girish Kulkarni more than makes up for the lack of space with warmth and engagement.
Executive chef Pankaj Thakur is always at hand checking minute details and interacting with guests for feedback and special requests. His grilled Red Snapper preparation is a real treat.
The rooms are well appointed and the serenity of the place ensures restful sleep.
Take the speed boat ride to interesting places around the lake or to see some amazing sunsets.
We are looking forward to go back some day.

Good things:
Beautiful location, right on a large lake
Floating cottages are an amazing experience
Property is clean and neatly maintained
Can go and eat at Sree Suprabhatam , a restaurant around 10 km awaywhich has very good food. You can ask front desk for a cab and in Rs 500 it will take you and bring you back after having had a good meal
The staff is very efficient and polite
Not so good:
Food is not tasty
The food at Mahindra resorts is usually expensive but this is the first resort where the spread was as elaborate but not very tasty!
