Beautiful Location!

We stayed here Monday to Friday in Carpenter's Cottage (a self catering cottage). We arrived ever so slightly earlier than the check-in time of 4pm - we decided to see if it would be ok to check-in earlier; it was no problem. Liz the owner greeted us and walked us over to our cottage and advised us where to park and provided us with 2 sets of keys (as there were 6 of staying).
The cottage was lovely and clean. It had everything you could need and it was cosy.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the surroundings. One bedroom had a lovely view over the lake and it was lovely to wake up and see with the morning sunshine!
The cottage was a great base for us to explore the local area and we attended a wedding nearby too. The local pub was only a 5 minute drive away too.
The grounds were well kept and it was in a beautiful location!
Thank you for a lovely stay!
First visit to Colston Hall

We booked to stay for 3 nights recently and had pre-arranged to arrive before the allotted check-in time. Although we were slightly early, we felt we were greeted rather as an inconvenience and were just asked 'what room are you in'.
The room which was called the Squires Room with a four-poster bed was very nice.
Plenty of literature on offer of things to do nearby and a good pub at Badingham about 5 mins away. Also has fishing on site.
Ideal location for exploring Suffolk.
Overall a pleasant stay but the owners could do with interacting a little more with their guests.
Dogs barking all night long

Awoken by dogs barking throughout the night during our stay.
Didn't say anything at the time, presuming it to be from a neighbouring property. However, only on further investigation, discovered it was the owners' dogs. Would not stay again or recommend it.
In the heart of rural suffolk....

Super B&B. Huge four poster bed; up to date en suite; hosts were very friendly and helpful ...and the breakfasts....you could easily miss your lunch and not feel hungry!!!
Location is off the beaten track so very quiet - apart from the occasional sheep baaing yet not far from Framlingham with its castle, nor far from the coast. Only a few miles down the road is the RSPB reserve Minsmere (think of spring watch!)
Charming, Quiet & Beautiful

We stayed here for two nights as we were working in the local area and we were really pleased with this B&B. Not really being B&B-ers as we never like to feel like we are in someone else's home - we were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the space & set up. It felt homey & cosy but accompanied with lots of professional touches like helpful local numbers, wifi codes, local recommendations etc all on offer. The room was full of character & charm. Do not stay here if you struggle with stairs or happen to be above average height as you may spend a lot of it bent over. However, if like us, you're no more than 6 ft then its a real delight. The bed was comfortable, clean & had everything you needed. The bathroom was spacious, equipped with complimentary toiletries (although perhaps the owners could add bubble bath?) & the water was nice and hot! The setting is beautiful, so quiet & everything about this place screams quintessentially English! Sadly, we were up too early & missed the full english experience which was included in our room rate. However, the owners went out of their way to make sure we had access to cereal, bread, a whole host of jams & spreads, cold milk & juice. It was very kind of them and most appreciated as we had long days ahead each day. I'd recommend the Little Maids Room & stay here again!!
